Hello Facebook friends and family. I live in Lake Worth FL. It’s in Southeast Florida about 1 hour north of Fort Lauderdale. We live about 7 miles from the beach. We are expecting a tropical storm. As long as the hurricane stays on the course it is now we will be ok. We will have lots of wind and rain . Wind is expected to gust up to 50 or 60 mph. Because of the tropical conditions tornado 🌪️ warnings have come and gone all morning.

We should be ok. We do not have to evacuate. We could lose electricity. I am ready. I have plenty of bottled water and will prepare extra food in case of loss of electricity.

Thank you everyone for your prayers and concerns. Please keep praying for The Gulf coast of FL. They will need your prayers. Please keep praying for the victims of Helene. Many are still suffering. Many places have organized getting food and supplies to the people in the Western Carolinas. Please don’t forget about them. Keep us all in your prayers.

Island Grove Chorus lost a wonderful former member on Monday. Rest in Peace Ronnie. Everyone will miss your deep bass voice, your wonderful sense of humor, your generous welcoming heart and your sense of style and s***k!

Judy Wilmot has been a Sweet Adeline for 60 years. She was awarded this at the Show of Champions. I was so honored to bring it to her and catch up on old times.She had that picture from a contest in 1999 she thought on a tote bag.

So proud of our bass Sue Hopcroft Sullivan. Today she was inducted into the Holbrook Hall of Fame for all the work she has done for the town of Holbrook and her over 35 years as a foster care mother.
