โจ๏ธLet's talk physical health for a minute...
I know many of you are here looking for a change. You're sick of feeling like garbage and want better for yourself. You're tired, stressed out, overwhelmed, have brain fog and just flat out don't feel good. You might be thinking something is wrong with you; maybe you've spent countless hours doing research and/or visiting doctors, trying aaalllll the supplements and blaming your hormones for getting you all out of wack. I get it, I've been there. Sometimes we legitimately have physical health concerns that need to be dealt with but more often than not, a lot of these issues can be solved with a little extra investment in your physical health.
In order to feel our best mentally, emotionally and spiritually, there has to be an element of physical health in there too. This means proper nutrition and moving your body! Maybe you're not a fitness nut like me and working out is just not your jam but that doesn't mean there is nothing to can do for your physical health. Going for walks, spending time outdoors, riding your horses, and many other things can get that blood pumping too! I truly believe that the more mobile we are, the better we feel. Keeping my body strong and capable is very important to me and when I'm not sticking to my fitness and nutrition routine, I just don't feel like myself and everything else in life becomes harder.
This isn't about "looking good" although that might be where it starts. If you feel confident about your appearance, it will likely improve how you feel mentally and emotionally. But most importantly, physical health is about feeling strong, healthy, capable of tackling every day tasks and knowing that you are taking care of the temple that God gave you. God has plans and purposes for my life that will include using the body He gave me to get His will done. So I'm going to do everything in my power to stay healthy so that I can do whatever He leads me to.
This week got a little crazy for me with the holidays and being off my routine was definitely starting to affect how I felt. Not exercising every day, eating too much garbage that doesn't serve my body well and not sleeping enough all came in to play. I do want to say, THAT'S OK! It's Christmas time for Pete's sake and you are allowed to enjoy all the good food and festivities that come along with it. But now, it's time to get back on track and take care of myself.
I hope you will invest in all aspects of your health, including physical, in the new year. Set realistic goals that you can keep. Know that you won't be perfect and give yourself grace on the days you fall off the wagon. This isn't about perfection; it's about attainable lifestyle changes that will become habits you keep so that you can maintain your physical health for life. If you need ideas on how to move forward with your physical health, I got you! Let's do this! ๐ช๐ Her Hat Is Her Crown
