It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the passing of June Jorgenson after multiple long battles with cancer. June was a fixture at Lafayette from the day it opened up until just a few weeks before it closed its doors. She and her late husband Dave opened the Lafayette in 1996. When most people thought of Lafayette Casino, they thought of June. She was funny, feisty, and didn’t take nonsense from anyone. She was a good person and a good friend. We already miss her greatly.
