Last night CHS Drama Club had their end of the year awards banquet! We had so much fun celebrating our successful year of theatre with pizza, laser tag, games, and awards. We can’t wait to have more theatre fun next school year!
Award Winners:
Best Actor in a Play—CJ La Croix as Creon
Best Actress in a Play—Penelope Vogel as Antigone
Best Actor in a Musical—Joey Johnson as Horton
Best Ensemble (TIE)—Greek Chorus (Kaden Aumer, Rayven Dutenhoffer, Felicity Gasperich, Cadynce German, and Joey Johnson). The Wickershams Brothers (Tyler Davidson, Jillian Harmel, and CJ La Croix)
Terrific Techie Award—Kamryn Warrey
Best Incoming Freshman—Penelope Vogel
Spectacular Sophomore—Devik Greger
Junior of the Year—Joey Johnson
Outstanding Senior—Rayven Dutenhoffer
Best Duo (TIE)—Antigone and Ismene (Penelope Vogel and Sydnei Heinzen). The Sour Kangaroos (Rayven Dutenhoffer and Aubree Hanson).
Four Year Recognition (Given to Seniors who participated in at least one show each of their four years)—Rayven Dutenhoffer, Sam Raap, and Kamryn Warrey.
Standing Ovation (Given to Seniors who participated in all twelve shows during their four years at CHS)—Jillian Harmel and Sydnei Heinzen.
Directors’ Choice Awards (Given to students who exceeded Directors’ expectations and contributed greatly to the department this year)—Kaden Aumer and Zoey Haselhorst.
Best Actress in a Musical—Elsa Schiferl as Gertrude
