Official page for Aberdeen Central's Drama Club and Theatre Department! Our group is about keeping theatre alive in Aberdeen Central. We perform 3 shows a year and take 1 of them to South Dakota's One Act Festival every season as well as run the Drama Club, CHS' largest student led organization! 🎭We'd like to introduce you to our amazing student actors!🎭

First up we will be featuring our title character Macbeth. Macbeth is played by one of our Senior performers, Kaden. Kaden has been involved in many CHS productions, and we are excited to have him on our stage once again!

⚔Q&A with Macbeth!⚔
Q: What are you most excited about for this performance?
A: I am most excited to explore the different aspects and complexities of my character in this show! I’m also super excited to get to act with my friends and do some super awesome stage combat!

Q: What is your favorite line?
A: “Full, full of scorpions is my mind.”

Q: What is your dream theater role?
A: SpongeBob SquarePants from SpongeBob the Musical!!

Q: What is your favorite part about theater?
A: My favorite part about theater is getting to explore different characters and learn new things all the time. I also just love having fun on stage with my friends!

CHS Theatre's production of William Shakespeare's Macbeth will perform Tuesday September 29th at 7:00pm, Thursday October 1st at 7:00pm, and Friday October 2nd at 7:00pm. Admission is $6 for adults, $4 for students, and Activity Passes will be accepted.

🎭 Auditions for CHS Theatre's Macbeth are only one week away!🎭

We are so excited to bring this classic story to life this fall. There are many ways to be involved in this show as a student, if you have any questions about the audition process take a look at these info slides! Hope to see you at auditions/tech sign-up on the 19th after school!

SYNOPSIS: Three witches intercept General Macbeth after a war victory. They spin a prophecy that he will soon be king of Scotland. spurned into action by Lady Macbeth, he goes on a cruel quest to gain political power, becoming a tyrannical leader.

We are very excited to announce this year's fall play as William Shakespeare's Macbeth! What better way to bring in the start of October than putting on one of the original spooky stories?

Last, but certainly not least, of our CHS Drama Club student leader features we have Kaden! Kaden is a very talented performer and one of our hardest workers. He is always willing to try new things onstage and behind the scenes to make our shows and events happen. We are so appreciative to have him on board, and can't wait to see what he accomplishes this next year!

It's time to feature another one of our amazing CHS Drama Club student leaders! Today we are featuring Amelia. Amelia is one of our technical theatre students who has a love for theatrical lighting. She is always eager to learn new skills and help others. We are excited to watch her expand her theatre knowledge and skills this next year!

Our next CHS Drama Club student leader feature is Charlie! Charlie is a hard worker and has been involved both onstage and backstage for CHS shows. He always brings a sense of joy to everything he works on, and we are happy to have him helping lead our department this year!

📚THIS SATURDAY📚

Join Horton and Gertrude at the K.O. Lee Aberdeen Public Library for a “Seuss-Tastic” Storytime! Kids can listen along as librarians read a Dr. Seuss book, while they make clovers that will be used in the show! After the book reading kids will watch Horton and Gertrude perform their duet and take photos and meet with them after! Hope to see you there 🎵🎭
