We were delighted to receive a courtesy call visit from African Reinsurance Consultants (ARC), Mauritius, as we explored potential areas of collaboration & business opportunities between our two organisations.

The engagement highlighted ARC’s capacity in specialty risks, presenting an exciting opportunity for Uganda Re to expand its footprint into non-conventional classes of business & provide innovative solutions for emerging & complex risks.

As we strengthen strategic partnerships across the continent, we remain committed to broadening our capabilities, unlocking new opportunities & delivering value to our clients & partners.

Uganda Re CEO Ronald Musoke held a strategic engagement with Tamini General Insurance CEO Mohamud M. Omar & Underwriting Manager Mary Namale to explore opportunities for collaboration.

The discussions laid the foundation for future partnership with collaboration in providing security through insurance to the public cushioned by reinsurance support from Uganda Re.

The meeting also explored opportunities within Uganda’s growing Oil & Gas sector, where Mr. Musoke shared valuable insights to support Tamini General Insurance’s interest in participating in this strategic industry.

Further discussions covered regional trade facilitation through the COMESA Yellow Card & the Regional Customs Transit Guarantee (RCTG) Scheme, where Tamini General Insurance has alreasy been onboarded, highlighting the potential for enhanced cross-border insurance solutions.

Mr. Omar also shared highlights of Takaful insurance principles, and how Uganda Re can effectively support & participate in this emerging segment of the insurance market.
