🎉 CONGRATULATIONS BROTHER RAY G 🎶
Watching you fill up the biggest concert stage in the country filled my heart with nothing but pride and gratitude. What a journey it has been!
I still remember the first time we met at California Records, a studio owned by Happy Alex — the leading gospel artist in our region back then. His music played so much in the churches where I served as an instrumentalist and dancer. Inspired by that passion, I had gone to record my single “NINYAMBUKANTA”, but my composition didn’t please the producer. And that’s when you 💪 this “studio rat” with a heart full of talent — stepped in to help, after I bribed you with a yoghurt and an apple! 😄
From that moment, our brotherhood was sealed. I began learning music production basics while recording my songs - combining my IT studies at Kampala International University with our shared dream. You were still in your A’ Level at Up Hill College, but the passion we shared made us inseparable.
We stayed together with just a slow 1GB RAM computer, a pair of woofers, and endless ambition. We produced your first breakthrough songs in that tiny single-room studio — no mattress, just our equipment, a table, and one chair. Every morning, we’d wake up, shower, and step out like we’d slept somewhere fancy, hiding our struggles behind big dreams.
We even shared the same clothes in your first hit “AMARARI”, but no one noticed — and it didn’t matter. What mattered was the fire in our hearts.
Seeing how far you’ve come today — from that small room to the biggest stage in the country — is beyond inspiring. You’ve made history, brother. May this milestone be just the beginning of even greater heights.
Proud of you always 🙌
