@ 7:20pm I was already in my seat, when I first entered, I thought maybe the show had been canceled because you could easily count the people in the seats, in the meantime as people started coming in, a couple of adverts started playing supported by their visual enhancement tools (projectors), among many adverts of course dominated by the Ebonies adverts and a few saloon adverts, Warid also had an advert running, I don’t know who paid who to advertise for the other,
My best part on their projectors was the celebrity profiles time, it was my first time to hear from Bobi Wine confessing how he does not take alcohol at all, these half minute interviews featured the likes of Ragga Dee, Katherine Kusasira, Big eye, Jose Chameleon, among others, immediately after, the DJ played to cultural songs , the uganda National anthem and Ekitibwa Kyabunganda song, something to note on these two songs is, people can stand up to pay respect for the Buganda song but cant stand up for the national anthem , much respect to the real Baganda, having been in the same seat a week ago, I noticed this weeks attendance was full to maximum compared to last week, given a chance to change a thing on the krackers advertising banners and tickets it would be one thing, they indicate show time from 7:00pm to 10:00pm, I would put it 8:15pm to 10:30pm, the DJ also has a lot of time to play Audio music, am not saying it was bad but too much of anything can sometimes be bad.
By 8:20pm the stage was receiving clear lights for the audience in the seats to watch, he calls himself Dan Flavor, not sure whether those are his real names but he was the first on stage, I never heard any original song from him though he sings well other peoples songs, Sinamakosa was one of the two or three songs he tried singing, to me his major reason for coming on stage was to announce his soon coming show with Raila Kayondo and introducing the guest of the night on stage “Eddie Kenzo”
Having heard Aziz Azion sing on the same stage the previous week, I tried hard not to compare the two on a live microphone but I could not help myself about it, Comparing the two, Kenzo sounds too empty on a live stage, but he blamed it on the organizers, kenzo asked Krackers never to invite him again unless they have arranged for him the machines that fits hits level, he ranked the machines provided to him on stage below average standard,
The Night became more interesting when kenzo sang some of his famous songs, Bolingo was one of the songs that seemed most loved by the fans. Am still looking for Kenzo’s young boys, they looked under 10years of age but with tremendous dancing moves, more talented young blood, its Kenzo’s famous dance strokes and moves that sets him apart and gives more fans every day that passes, good he knows his strength and he has concentrated on them.
First comedian on stage after Kenzo’s performance was was Idrigi Patrick AKA Salvado, also the MC of the night, Ebunu came on stage second before MC kapale was called on stage, From me this time, Many thanks to you sir Mr kapale, you made all of us laugh without abusing anyone in the audience, but you still attack whites to hit the peak of your jokes, I don’t care repeating the same joke week after week as long as you make us laugh, by the way I noticed, the number of whites in the house were minimal last night, I don’t want to attach any causes to that,
Dikanhio came on stage next, he himself is comedy, even if he just stands in front without saying a word, people will just laugh, Afande kele kele was next before the new recruits for me to this group came on stage, (Jaja Roni and Kazoba) they perform in a way of telling stories and each supports the other , it’s a poetry kind that has unusual local words that would leave no one untickled, one funny thing about them is that you cannot remember them and their jokes once the show is over.
Missing on the Krackers line up last night was Veteran Alex Muhangi, I can’t tell why he dint come on stage though he was in the building, but like in economics, scarcity increase price, you need to be a little bit scarce so that you can attain more value.
This was my second time in this 5star luxurious theatre like the krackers put it on their banners, I might not be in national theatre for about two or three weeks, but you will definitely hear from me againa, this time with another story from the same category of business as the Krackers, it’s memorable being in labonita , its more unforgettable when you spend your time there with the krackers.
