Ndere Cultural Centre

Ndere Cultural Centre Ndere is a non-profit organisation whose mission is to recapture, master, update and keep upgrading Ugandan and African cultures.

We do this through dance, music, orchestration, food, architecture, religion and many more. Ndere Troupe is an award winning internationally renowned performing arts group. We began in 1984 under the direction of Dr. Rwangyezi Stephen. We have traveled all over Uganda and the world to festivals, carnivals weddings and expos. We are happy to bring our Uganda and Africa to you. Our objective of the

Troupe is to help the socially disadvantaged children Like orphans, and children from financially struggling remote areas but who are immensely talented and help facilitate their dreams of education. We do this through taking them to school, accommodating them and taking care of their medical bill. In turn they share the fast eroding traditions and cultures with the world through weekly performances and shows in Uganda and all over the world. Ndere Cultural Centre is the home of the Ndere Troupe. We opened operations in 2003 with a generous grant from the Austrian Embassy. We have since put several business like hotel, restaurant, venues for events to help keep the centre running but also support the operations of the Troupe. It sits on 8 acres of beautifully and well maintained greenery. It is strategically located with easy access to the Express and Northern bypass highway that can take one up to the airport, Kampala City Centre and also to the Source of the R.Nile in Jinja.
