Sometimes resilience means showing up for yourself and those that benefit or may be affected by your actions. Glad to have found my purpose in mentoring fellow nurses and midwives into providing quality neonatal clinical care. It gives me reason to keep showing up knowing I may not be able to save all sick babies but I’m in position to teach others to do so.

Today one of the babies I care for makes a year and the mother sent me this message. I must say I’m more than grateful to see preterm babies grow and thriving. It’s more than just nursing care having a preterm born at 26 weeks gestation being discharged from the NICU and thriving. Alhamdulillah Ya Allah. Bless my hands always and provide patience and more to all NICU parents.
