*2 Timothy 1:12 (KJV):* For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.
*COMMIT IT TO GOD*
God is able to keep the things that you commit unto Him. Phulassó is the Greek word that is translated as ‘keep’ in our theme scripture. Among other things, it means to guard and protect.
The reason some Christians are writhing under the burdens of worry, fixated on all that may go wrong with their lives, is because they have not committed certain aspects of their lives to God.
God has promised us that He GUARDS and PROTECTS what is committed to Him.
Do you wonder about how your children will grow up in a world that is struggling with moral truth and making children the targets of perversion? Commit them to God. He will preserve them in the moments of temptation and keep them from being polluted by the agents of darkness.
Do you ask yourself how your business should thrive in the midst of ailing world economies? Commit it to God. He will prosper you in the times when the world cries about scarcity.
Note this: when you commit things to Him, don’t go about retrieving them from His capable hands through worry and negative confession. Trust that He will jealously look after what has been placed in His hands.

*PRAYER:* Loving Father, I thank You for Your unending and unconditional love for me. This one thing I know with all my heart–that You care for me. Today I examine my life and reflect upon the things that bring worry and anxiety, proof that they are not committed unto You. I present them to You today and place them in Your care, knowing that You will watch over, preserve, and defend them in Jesus’ name. Amen.
