I personally don’t believe in fatalism: the philosophy that “what will be will be”. I think that ideology promotes laziness and carelessness. And this proverb on the face of it, seems to subscribe to that ideology. But what the proverb is saying is that those who are destined for power do not have to fight [recklessly or unscrupulously] for it. Have you ever encountered a situation where you know, you deserve a position, but someway somehow (may be through manipulation or bribery) another person gets the position? And you feel the urge to use any means possible to claim what you believe is meant for you? This proverb tells us that you shouldn’t have to resort to any unjust or inhuman method to claim what you believe is yours. You never need to kill or bribe your way to your destiny. The end does not justify the means — the means must of itself be justified. You do what is morally right and even though you may not get what you deserve, all things will work together for your good. What people meant against you, will be to your advantage. Be hopefully! !
