Most people think PCOS is something that only affects your periods.
But this is what women actually live with.
😴 Waking up exhausted before the day even starts.
🍫 Cravings that feel louder than your logic.
😖 Skin that won't clear no matter what you try.
⚖️ Weight that creeps up without explanation.
😨 Anxiety you never used to have.
💔 And that quiet moment where you realise... you don't really recognise yourself anymore.

This is the part of PCOS that rarely gets talked about. The part that makes women feel confused, emotional, and honestly scared. Because when you can't trust your energy, your mood, or your body, it starts to feel like you're losing pieces of who you are.
And the hardest part? Being told it's normal. That you're just stressed. That you should "try harder."

PCOS/PMOS can affect so much more than just your cycle and you shouldn't have to keep guessing what to do about it.

Myo-inositol or metformin. Which one actually belongs in your PCOS plan?

Both target insulin resistance, the root driver behind most PCOS symptoms. But they work differently and fit different situations.

Myo-inositol is a natural compound, available over the counter. A meta-analysis of 26 randomized controlled trials with over 1,600 women found it significantly improved cycle regularity, along with BMI and androgen levels. Side effects are mild and rare. Most women see changes within 3 to 6 months.

Metformin is a prescription medication and the first-line pharmacological option in most major PCOS guidelines. It is often more effective in insulin-resistant or obese phenotypes specifically. GI side effects like nausea and bloating are common, especially when starting out.

Here is what matters most. Neither one works in isolation, and neither is automatically the right choice. It depends on your phenotype, the severity of your insulin resistance, and whether you are trying to conceive.

This is not a decision to make alone. Talk to your doctor about which one, or both, make sense for your specific case.

🌸 LOW PROGESTERONE? LET’S TALK ABOUT NUTRIENTS THAT MAY HELP SUPPORT HORMONE HEALTH! 🌸
Progesterone plays an important role in the menstrual cycle, ovulation and reproductive health. 💗
Certain nutrients—including Vitamin B6, Magnesium, Zinc, Vitamin C, Omega-3 fatty acids, CoQ10 and Vitamin D—are involved in normal hormone production and overall nutritional health.
✨ But remember: Low progesterone can have different causes, including ovulation problems, stress, thyroid issues or nutrient deficiencies. Identifying the underlying cause is important before choosing supplements.
💚 Consistency + patience = better health habits.
At Kodesh Healthcare, we believe in supporting your health with informed choices and professional guidance.
