I filmed this episode recently in the river Kobylnya, that flows close
to Vinnytsia.
This section of the river turned my attention by the brown colour of
its water. Just like in tannin rich igarapes of the world famous Rio
Negro.
Though Kobylnya is different, it has its own charm and I welcome you

Last spring I was lucky to buy these Aphyosemion striatum juveniles at
the local market in Vinnytsia.
I am happy to watch them enjoying life in their blackwater home!
Tannin rich water helps these killis show their true colours and
demonstrate natural behaviour.
