How to paint wood step by step (How personally I paint wood)

How much I drew different bars, branches and boards, until I learned how to give at least this result. At the moment, small problems are caused by metal rendering, but this, like everything else, is fixable.



P. S. Somewhere in the universe blizzard is looking for a missing piece of wood.

Как же много я нарисовал разных брусков, веток и досок, пока не научился выдавать хотя бы такой результат. На данный момент, небольшие проблемы доставляет рендер металла, но это, как и все остальное, исправимо

P. S. Где-то сейчас во вселенной blizzard ищут пропавший кусок дерева

Up until now, I hadn't paid enough attention to wood, metal or any other materials.
When you realize their importance, that they are everywhere and in almost every job, in the elements of clothing, environment and weapons, whether you want to or not, you must learn to portray them.

Как часто вы рисуете материалы?
До этого момента я не уделял должного внимания дереву, металлу и прочим материалам
Когда ты осознаешь их важность,что они везде и почти в каждой работе,в элементах одежды,окружения и оружия, то хочешь или нет,ты должен научиться их изображать

My vision of the Deep Ones

Most of them were shiny and seemed to be slimming, and the edges of their backs were covered with something like scales. They were only remotely shaped like anthropoids, while their heads were definitely fish, with convex, even goggled eyes that never closed. There were fluttering gills on the side of their necks, and their eardrums sparkled between the branches of long legs. Their husky, barking voices, clearly created for some semblance of speech, carried a lot of creepy and gloomy shades, more than compensating for the small expressiveness of their faces.

Большинство из них блестели и казались осклизлыми, а края их спин были покрыты чем-то вроде чешуи.
