Ten works. Ten artists who joined DigitalOriginal in September.

This month, we welcomed artists working across photography, digital collage, AI-assisted art, painting, and experimental image-making.

Their works move through dream and reality, body and identity, nature and mythology — each with its own visual language, story, and way of seeing.

We are grateful to every artist who trusted us to present their work and share their practice with our community.

If a work stays with you, support the artist with a like or share. Tag someone who might connect with this selection and help these works reach the people they are meant to find.

Are you an artist ready to give your work a home beyond the feed? DigitalOriginal helps artists present their practice with care, shape a distinctive brand, and build a digital presence that feels truly their own. Create your website, tell your story, and let your art be seen.

Looking for meaningful opportunities in 2027?

We’ve curated a practical guide to digital artist open calls — including grants, residencies, prizes, exhibitions, festivals and art-and-technology programmes.

The list covers opportunities for digital, generative, AI-assisted, video, interactive and new media practices.

Before applying, check five things:
— eligibility
— medium and format
— technical requirements
— total cost
— rights and licensing terms

A strong opportunity is not always the most prestigious one. It is the one that matches your work, your current goals and the kind of support you actually need.

Looking for photography open calls for 2027?

We’ve gathered verified opportunities for fine art, conceptual, macro and aerial photography — including Sony World Photography Awards, Wellcome Photography Prize, Fine Art Photography Awards, LENS and Pure Macro & Close-Up Awards.
The guide covers deadlines, entry fees, AI policies, image rights and the practical details that are easy to miss: printing, framing, shipping, and whether your work is stronger as a single image or a series.

Don’t choose a competition just because of its prize or name. Check whether your work truly fits the category, what rights you grant, and what happens if your work is selected.

Artist Spotlight · Oksana Omelchuk

Oksana Omelchuk starts with a photograph of a flower and reworks it until the color shifts. A lily turns grey-violet. Orchids burn coral against cream. A bird of paradise glows pale pink and blue on deep teal.

Her stems stay precise and her petals look almost translucent. The works sit between digital photography and mixed media, and each one reads like a pressed specimen seen under a different light.

In this carousel:
Strelitzias, 2025
Lily, 2025
Orchid, 2024
Orchids, 2024
Hypericum, 2025

These pieces need to be seen large. The full series is on Oksana's portfolio: oksana-omelchuk.digitaloriginal.app

Meta’s newly announced VR glasses weigh about 100 grams and feature a 5K micro-OLED display, full-colour passthrough, eye tracking and natural hand controls.

For artists and galleries, this is bigger than a hardware launch. Lighter and clearer devices can make virtual exhibitions feel more natural, accessible and engaging—bringing immersive art closer to everyday audiences.

The future of art isn’t physical or virtual. It’s connected.

Digital Original XR compatibility with the unreleased device has not been confirmed.

Search engines and AI cannot understand an artistic practice from images alone.

They need clear information: the artist’s name, biography, artwork titles, dates, mediums, series, exhibitions and trusted external mentions.

When this information is structured on a website under your own domain, it becomes easier to connect your name with your work.

Your website is not only where people view your portfolio. It is where your professional online presence begins.

Launch your website in minutes with Digital Original.
