Навіть моніторинг звуку може бути іншим.
Ну що ж, друзі, тепер хочу поділитися з вами відкриттям дверей у світ якісного звуку. Саме за допомогою цього девайсу я почув, що навіть моніторинг звуку може бути різним в плані якості. Чому саме Antelope?
Розумієте, є така штука, коли є просто залізяки, вони можуть бути супер крутими і занадто комерційними, а є щось більше ніж залізо. І LUTIY Records шукав саме ту компанію, яка вкладає душу в залізо. І от я познайомився з Antelope Audio. Мій вибір стояв на межі між UAD та Antelope. І я хотів відслухати та відчути різницю. Познайомився з дуже крутим mixing engineer Романом. Приїхав до нього в студію, сіли біля двох карт Antelope та UAD одного класу. Та після моїх запитань, він сказав, що вибір за мною і посадив мене слухати трек спочатку на одній, потім на іншій карті. І після 10 хв прослуховування, він запитав, що скажеш? І я йому кажу, розумієш, є якась різниця в моніторингу, у UAD всі інструменти були сухо відокремлені один від одного, а у Antelope був якийсь ефект “glue”. І при цьому все звучало дуже чітко і ясно.
І тоді я прийняв рішення, що хочу саме Antelope. І перше, що я почув, коли поставив карту в студії - це інший рівень деталізації звуку, і це було приємне відчуття контролю. І другий момент, з яким мені прийшлося мати справу - це конвертери, особливо коли доводиться мати справу з аналоговим звуком.
Бо колись на початку свого шляху мені довелося мати справу з бюджетною картою, і ми писали гітари. Все наче добре, але коли справа дійшла до обробки та зведення цього матеріалу, виникла така проблема, що звук записаних гітар був наче обрізаний по «низам», їх майже не було, при цьому мікрофони, комутація були якісними. І тоді LUTIY Rec міцно засів над обробкою і формуванням звуку гітар. Це було довго, важко, сумно:) Це був мій досвід, який надихнув мене перейти на інший клас заліза. А, і до речі, з вокалом теж були цікаві танці з бубном, але це вже інша історія:)

It was with the help of this device that I learned that even sound monitoring can be different in terms of quality. So, why Antelope?
You see, sometimes there are just blocks of iron, they may be super cool and commercialized, and then there's something more than just iron. And LUTIY Records was looking exactly for the kind of company that put their soul into the hardware. And so I found Antelope Audio. My choice stood between them and UAD, and I wanted to hear the difference between them. I met Roman, who's a great mixing engineer, came to his studio and sat down next to two UAD and Antelope cards of the same class. After answering all my questions, he said that the choice was entirely mine, and sat me down to listen to the track first on one, then on the other card. 10 minutes of listening had passed, and he asked me: ‘what do you think?’ And I tell him: ‘you see, there is some difference in the monitoring’. In UAD all instruments were dryly separated from each other, and in Antelope there was some kind of ‘glue’ effect. And at the same time everything sounded very clear and distinct. ADAM Audio Klub
That’s when I decided that I wanted Antelope. And so, the first thing that I heard after installing the card in the studio was a whole different level of detail in the sound, and it was a pleasant feeling of being absolutely in control. The second thing I had to deal with were converters, especially when dealing with analog sound.
Once, at the beginning of my journey, I had to deal with a cheaper, budget card, and we were recording guitars. Everything seemed fine, but when it came to the processing and editing of this material, we faced a problem as if the recorded guitars were cut off on the lows, they were almost nonexistent, though the microphones and commutation were of high quality. And then LUTIY Rec. firmly sat down to process and form guitar sounds. It was a long, hard and sad process. It was this experience that inspired me to switch to a higher class of hardware. Oh, and by the way, there was also a lot of dancing around vocals, but that's a story for another day:)
