Hello. Waste Works in touch.๐Ÿ˜Ž

As you already know, there are drones in the game that power the factory.

With the help of the control tower, you can buff buildings within a certain radius. Depending on the perk of the drone and its power, a certain effect will spread to buildings in the radius and improve them.

You can choose your own strategy: put the drone on the control tower, improving the buildings in the radius, or put it on a separate workbench, greatly improving it.

Hello! Waste Works in touch.๐Ÿ˜Ž

In our game, machines controlled by drones. A drone is required to run a certain machine

As long as the drones are charged, the machine works. When discharged, they need to be sent for recharging, which takes 10-15 minutes, get charged drones and send them back to the machine.

Drones also have their own characteristics. Drones are divided into Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, and Legendary. Each has its own unique set of perks, as well as a characteristic that depends on rarity.

Collecting cool drones will take time, but you can think about how to win in large numbers. The versatility of our game doesn't force you to donate)

Good evening, guys. We're back at work.๐Ÿ˜Ž
About the features of the conveyor belt told. โœ”
The conveyor belt can be moved as you like within your asteroid but not on top of buildings that are already taking up space which is logical๐Ÿ˜‚. Wait for the video in the game)

Hello everyone, in touch๐Ÿ˜‰
Our game has a conveyor belt with which:

1). The conveyor belt is one of the fundamental parts in the game.โœ”

2). You will set up logistics and send waste to the necessary machines.โœ”

3). In order to lay a conveyor belt, all you need is in-game currency and your imagination.โœ”

4). The conveyor belt has no limits, which means that you can lay it as much as you like within your platform, as long as the currency allows you.โœ”

5). No resources are required to create it.โœ”

At the moment, we have implemented the itself, then we plan to show the operation of the conveyor belt itself.

Hello!๐Ÿค– During the and creation of the world of , there were many ideas. Some of them have been implemented some have gone into oblivion and we have transferred something to the PC version. Initially the following concept was conceived: we wanted to create a with the implication that each player has a satellite with its own waste recycling station. Yes, yes your phone has its own asteroid and satellite on which the action takes place. You being anywhere in the world, can use your smartphone to control the station.๐Ÿญ

This idea seemed very cool to us but its implementation and some of the nuances were so lame.๐Ÿ˜ฅ This was redundant for us and our game since it would take a lot of time to implement such mechanics and the functionality is limited.

Everything depended on the optimization of the game and the budget that we had as well as the ratio of profitability of the various mechanics and functions that we wanted to implement. Such thorny questions made us think seriously and reconsider what we want to do.๐Ÿ‘Œ As a result we decided to limit ourselves to a conditional loading screen and a station without any satellite. Perhaps it will be on the PC version but this is not certain.๐Ÿ˜’๐Ÿ˜’

Instead lore was invented according to the scenario of a nuclear explosion on Earth which destroyed the globe and habitual life forms. Someone managed to survive but the catastrophe forced the whole evolutionary cycle to be reborn. People with mutated ๐Ÿงฌ, cyborgs, smart robots - all this happened as a result of evolution. It was important for us to put the logical beginning of our concept.

Based on the topical problem of ecology the game was created on the basis of the real work of machines conveyors and other stations for waste processing implemented in the game but even simpler and more interesting. For example nuclear waste (toxic waste) remained in the distant future as a memory of a nuclear war while the rest remained untouched.

We can say that the logical beginning of the world of wasteworks was successfully laid after long days of discussions. The was quite suitable for future ideas. However as soon as we started, we understood that a lot of things would have to be left in order to avoid visual clogging: somewhere the budget got in the way somewhere as already mentioned the profitability of functions.

Therefore the was delayed for another year. The mechanics and options that were already made and didn't suit us for the mobile version were moved to the backlog. However we still managed not to fall face down in the dirt and we found a consensus on how the game on mobile and the asteroid station itself, which you can see in the picture of the post should look like.

Speaking a little about the asteroid itself. It can be extended to accommodate platforms, and you can also place them in space so for now it's just a concept that's still being worked on. But now we have groundwork and we are ready to move forward!๐Ÿ˜Ž

Some insights from the process.
At the beginning, they worked on the general structure of the asteroid and the station as a whole. At the same time, references were selected according to style. We were constantly looking for a compromise between what we want to do and what we can implement. There was a lot of discussion about almost every element.

At first often the result was very different from what was originally intended due to constant discussion and a somewhat โ€œchaoticโ€ process. That is the process was similar to some kind of improvisational jam of a small rock band. In general, work in a studio where one or two people are responsible for each direction of work (one artist, one modeller, one gemdis, etc.), has much in common with group musical creativity. In a sense you work with your โ€œtoolโ€ but you have a significant impact on the look and structure of the entire project. It often happened that our programmers threw in just awesome and unexpected solutions and vice versa, the artist was involved in some technical processes.

Thus, thanks to the high involvement and cohesion of everyone in the team it was possible to achieve the integrity of the overall look and high-quality work of programmers avoiding unnecessary freezes in the game.

The conclusion is that you need to work collaboratively with people from every direction especially if you are a beginner developer. Do it in such a way that you don't lose integrity don't be afraid of chaos and work, work, and work again.

Present to your attention - ๐ŸคจRobert von Sternberg - General of the Logistics Corps of the United Forces of Humanity.
Because of his quick-temper, every time he fantasizes that he wants to โ€œ-BANG, but then.โ€, or โ€œ-I will destroy the whole world!โ€ and something like that.๐Ÿ˜…

Hi guys. As you know, at the wasteworks station, you control the drones to do the work on the conveyors.

We had such options, and here is what we decided to choose.

I think we will change it a little more because it does not fit a little under the general concept.

๐Ÿ‘‹ guys. We present you one of our concept art again. ๐Ÿ’ฅ
This is a "Bee" cargo ship that is designed to bring and take resources. One of the faction ships owned by ibis logistics.
It turned out to be very detailed in the visual and gameplay part, like everything else)
We plan to show a piece of gameplay soon, you will see the work in action๐Ÿ˜Š
