Cinderella, Snow White, Brave, The Little Mermaid and lots of other whose appearance is very recognizable were based on the fairy tales 💫
🙋♀️ How to revive a character and humanize a text?
1. Face features have to represent the character
There is physiognomy. It’s is a practice of assessing a person's character or personality from their outer appearance—especially the face or its expression. It’s based on a simple rule “it is in and it is out”. Find out more about it so it will be easier to express the emotions that the author described.
2. Colors are more that you think.
Play around with different shades and pallets. For example, tender characters can’t wear electric-colored clothes and agressive characters can’t be dressed pastel-colored clothes.
3. Choose the level of realism
Some characters can look like they are alive, others could be nothing like a person and that will be their benefit. It’s important that realism and sur could be appropriate and matched the style of the book.
Watch, learn, get inspired, borrow some details and techniques. And be creative 🙌
