Our call to all Africans this 2024 is to continue to tell our own stories. We can’t not let other speak on our behalf. African voices must rise. African stories must be told by African themselves.

Our 2024 planning has begun. Our community is set to do even greater things.

On Monday regional Directors from the British Council visited our offices to learn and share experience on supporting youth development with a special focus on creative works with Hii Ni Afrika Musical Community at TBI offices.

The experience helped the British Council to hear from beneficiaries directly on what and how to partner with creatives in the country.

We welcome partners to learn and share knowledge with us to create a better environment for growth in the arts sector. TBI values such visits and believes it’s a good step towards stable partnerships.

We are thrilled to have partnered with the British Council to host a productive workshop to learn, network and co-create ideas on partnership and youth development at their space. The engagement included 65 regional directors of the British Council from different African countries and the United Kingdom to discuss and learn with young creatives including some of Hii Ni Afrika Musical’s cast and partners from Tanzania.

Our executive director facilitated a session on youth and partners engagement with the British council on how best to support development, innovation, creative arts and enterprises in Tanzania. Key talking points were direct support and engagement of the British Council with local partners.
