Theresia Massawe is a self-taught Tanzanian artist whose practice re-emerged during the COVID-19 period while training as a medical doctor. Working across acrylic, charcoal, graphite, and oil pastels, her approach is intuitive and deeply personal.

Her work reflects on womanhood as a shared and evolving experience—navigating love, guilt, joy, and self-discovery. Through vivid color and expressive forms, she creates space for vulnerability and connection.

Valerie Asiimwe Amani (b. 1991, Dar es Salaam) is a multidisciplinary artist, writer, and researcher whose work engages with memory, place, and identity across textiles, installation, and performance.

Her practice draws from East African cosmologies, exploring resilience, connection, and transformation through layered materials and gestures of care and repair. Moving between the intimate and the political, her works hold space for reflection, imagination, and emotional depth.
