This year marks DemonCraft 5th consecutive year designing the trophy for Unlimited MAX Tattoo & Music Festival.

I’m truly grateful to the organizers for their trust over the years, and for once again giving me complete creative freedom to interpret the theme and spirit of each year in my own way.

Since this year is the Year of the Horse, I continued the creative direction of the past three editions, using a Roman-inspired concept combined with biomechanical elements as the foundation.

But this year carries a different meaning for me.

To me, the “horse” is not only a symbol of the zodiac. It also represents horsepower, speed, momentum, and raw strength. Naturally, this connected to the Harley culture I’ve been deeply involved in, and the mechanical beauty of the engine.

For this trophy design, I combined the image of the Trojan Horse with the mechanical force of a Harley engine, giving this horse not just the presence of a static sculpture, but the energy of something ready to charge through the battlefield at full power.

This piece is once again specially crafted in my favorite material: soft vinyl.
Soft vinyl is not only the creative language I know best, but also the medium I have loved and stayed committed to throughout my journey.

This trophy belongs only to the true champions.
It represents honor, power, and victory — created for the kings of the stage.

Although DemonCraft’s Takumi-Oni made a contract with a demon, he never forgot his original purpose.
Deep inside, he is still the warrior protecting his village and searching for his lost child.

【DemonCraft 十周年企劃第一彈｜笑般若】

今年，是 DemonCraft 的誕生日。
同時，也恰逢墓場藝廊十周年。

在這個極具意義的時間點，
DemonCraft 十周年企劃第一彈《笑般若》，
將全程由墓場藝廊獨家販售。

本次作品《笑般若》，
由台灣年輕設計師 -葉虎- 所設計。

以下為其創作理念：

在原型製作與創作的初期，我始終對於「暴力」與「非人道」等議題抱持高度關注，並將這些元素延伸為對社會現象的設計思考。

從「血」作為切入點，探討人性的本質，再逐步延伸至「慾望」等更為複雜且敏感的層面，試圖揭露人性中被壓抑與忽視的黑暗。

在這次的合作中，我選擇了「笑般若」作為創作主題一個在日本妖怪文化中，帶有強烈邪氣與象徵性的存在。

笑般若吞食嬰兒的血肉，而她的腹中，承載著那些關於「被愛」與「不被愛」的生命痕跡。
這些嬰兒不僅僅是肉體的存在，更象徵著在家庭與社會之中，被遺棄、被忽視，甚至從未被真正接納的個體。

作為一個寄居於人間、充滿惡念的妖怪，笑般若的存在，原本應當令人恐懼。
然而，在現實世界中，當社會充斥著暴力、仇恨、不平等，以及無止境的對立時，她的「邪惡」，似乎反而顯得微不足道。

在這樣的世界裡，真正令人畏懼的，或許早已不再是妖怪。

■ Concept Extension｜致敬人偶文化

這一次，DemonCraft 嘗試打破過往軟膠的既定框架。

透過《笑般若》，
我們將「服裝」與「潮流文化」正式導入角色之中，
讓妖怪不再只是靜態的存在，而是能夠被「穿上風格」的個體。

這個方向，某種程度上，是對 Barbie 所代表的人偶產業的一種致敬

將「角色」與「時尚」結合，
讓玩具不只是收藏品，而是一種可以被延伸、被詮釋的文化載體。

【DemonCraft 10th Anniversary – Chapter 1: Warai Hannya】

This year marks the anniversary of DemonCraft,
and also the 10th anniversary of Hakaba Gallery.

To honor this moment,
our first 10th anniversary release “Warai Hannya”
will be exclusively available through Hakaba Gallery.

Designed by Taiwanese artist Ye Hu,
this piece explores themes of violence, humanity, and suppressed desire.

Using “blood” as a starting point,
the work reveals the darker side of human nature
what is ignored, abandoned, and never truly accepted.

Warai Hannya, a sinister presence in Japanese folklore,
devours infants yet within her lies a deeper meaning:
the existence of those who were never loved.

In a world filled with hatred, inequality, and conflict,
perhaps what we should truly fear…
is no longer the monster.

■ Concept

With this piece, DemonCraft breaks its own boundaries.

We introduce fashion and styling into sofubi,
allowing the character to carry identity beyond form.

This is also a tribute to Barbie
where character and fashion merge into culture.

2026 DemonCraft｜朧車（おぼろぐるま）

朧車，誕生於日本平安時代的妖怪。
它並非自然生成，而是由人類長年累積、無處安放的怨念所化成。

在那個階級分明的年代，
牛車象徵權力與地位，
無數人被拒於門外，只能看著車輛離去。

當不甘、嫉妒與怨恨反覆堆疊，
最終附著於廢棄的牛車之上，
在夜霧之中，朧車睜開了眼睛。

車廂裂開，化為怪面；
整體被朧霧包覆，
行走於實體與幻影之間，
正如那些曾經存在，卻未被記住的名字。

在 DemonCraft 的設定中，
朧車由巨大妖怪大蝦蟇所拖行，
穿梭於百鬼夜行之中，
承載亡魂與無法放下的執念。

車側可見由怨念凝結而成的骷髏人，
它們並非單純的裝飾，
而是被朧車吞噬後留下的殘存意志，
負責駕馭、引導，並監視這輛車的行進方向。

它們象徵那些早已失去肉身，
卻仍被迫推動體制運作的亡魂。

朧車不是邪惡的起點，
而是所有選擇與壓迫所累積而成的結果。

百鬼夜行中，
只要朧車現身，夜行便無法停止。

2026 DemonCraft- Oboroguruma

Oboroguruma is a yokai born during Japan’s Heian period.
It did not emerge from nature, but was formed from human resentment
emotions accumulated over time with nowhere left to go.

In an era defined by rigid hierarchy,
ox-drawn carriages symbolized power and status.
Countless people were left waiting outside closed gates,
watching these carriages depart without them.

As resentment, jealousy, and bitterness continued to pile up,
they eventually clung to abandoned carriages.
Within the night mist, Oboroguruma opened its eyes.

The carriage body splits open, forming a monstrous face;
shrouded in haze,
it moves between reality and illusion
much like those who once existed, yet were never remembered.

Within the DemonCraft universe,
Oboroguruma is dragged through the Hyakki Yagyō
by the yokai Ōgama.
It traverses the night parade,
carrying lost souls and unresolved obsessions.

Along the sides of the carriage are resentment-bound skeleton figures.
They are not mere decoration,
but remnants of those consumed by Oboroguruma
tasked with steering, guiding, and overseeing its path.

They symbolize souls that have long lost their bodies,
yet are still forced to drive the machinery of the system.

Oboroguruma is not the origin of evil,
but the result of every choice and pressure accumulated over time.

Once Oboroguruma appears in the Hyakki Yagyō,
the night parade cannot be stopped.

Huge thanks to my agent Zack for holding down the booth at TTF this year.
Appreciate him letting me be stubborn this time showcasing only two pieces:
one is my new large-scale work for this year, and the other is a new piece scheduled for release next year.

Since I’m currently in Las Vegas for Dcon, I couldn’t be there in person
