Valen, the Undying Blade of a Fallen Hero

The kingdom summoned him to do what their fat, peaceful armies could not.
They dug up his grave. They burned innocent bones to fuel the ritual. They called his name and waited for a hero.
Valen opened his eyes. He did not reclaim his flesh.
The king had one moment to realize his mistake.
Valen took the head, walked past the screaming court, and descended into the dungeon. Not to save the kingdom. The kingdom was never the reason.
Somewhere in the depths below, there are bones that have been waiting a hundred years. He knows whose they are. He knows who put them there.
He's brought something to make it right.

“The King is root, the Elders are bough;”
And the horde answered with a guttural cry.

“We are but leaves, borne upon the wind.”
Their throats rumbled, a tremor through the darkened wood.

“The sun shall sear, the frost shall rend;”
And the fire-cast shadows writhed, vast and unbroken.

“Yet fallen to dust, we return—thus feeding the King.”
So spake the elder, and the oath sank deep into the night eternal.

And in the glow of the fire,
small and slight Morlin stared into the flame.
For each line uttered, a defiance stirred

an unspoken voice within him,
answering oath with silent denial.

⚔️ Headswap experiment: undead edition 💀
What if the living took the dead's helm... and vice versa?

Swapped the heads between two figures to push the contrast between life and death — and had to crack some skulls (literally) to make it fit.

Custom mod using hobby knife, patience, and a bit of creative violence. More undead builds coming soon!
