黨若洪，1975 年生，畢業於東海大學美術系，並取得西班牙薩拉曼卡大學藝術碩士學位。其創作取材日常，轉化為充滿張力的繪畫語言。曾獲西班牙聖馬可獎、高雄美術獎與廖繼春繪畫獎首獎，並於 2016 年獲台北獎首獎、2023 年獲台新藝術獎年度大獎，為重要當代台灣藝術家之一。
他的繪畫，不僅動人於題材，更迷人於其對媒材與技法的掌握。他偏好以纖維板作為創作載體，讓油彩得以更自由地流動與堆疊；並透過反覆上漆與封層，使畫面在光澤與霧面之間轉換，形成豐富而細膩的視覺層次。走入黨若洪的畫面，彷彿進入一個由點、線、面交織而成的多重場域。筆觸的勾勒、刮痕的痕跡、薄塗與堆積的交錯，甚至拼貼與物質性的介入，皆在畫面中自由生長，構成一種既直覺又精準的繪畫語言。

The Quotidian Epic | 1D34
TANG Jo-Hung (b. 1975) graduated from the Department of Fine Arts at Tunghai University and received his MFA from the University of Salamanca in Spain. Drawing from the immediacy of everyday life, his practice transforms the ordinary into a pictorial language charged with tension and vitality. He has been awarded the Premios San Marcos in Spain, as well as the top prizes of the Kaohsiung Fine Arts Award and the Liao Chi-Chun Oil Painting Award. In 2016, he received the Taipei Art Award, and in 2023, he was honored with the Grand Prize of the Taishin Arts Award, establishing his position as a key figure among contemporary Taiwanese artists.
His paintings are compelling not only in subject matter but also in their rigorous engagement with material and technique. Favoring fiberboard as his primary support, Tang allows oil paint to flow and accumulate with greater freedom, while repeated varnishing and sealing produce subtle shifts between gloss and matte surfaces, generating richly layered visual textures. To enter his paintings is to encounter a dynamic field composed of interwoven points, lines, and planes. Gestural marks, incised scratches, thin washes, dense accumulations, and even elements of collage and material intervention unfold organically across the surface, forming a painterly language that is at once intuitive and precise.
