「鹽」作為人類文明中古老且關鍵的物質之一，不僅維繫生命所需，在現代製鹽工業普及之前，更因其稀缺性與對地理條件的高度依賴，深度介入權力結構、貿易體系與疆域治理之中，形塑出橫跨物質、空間與歷史的關係網絡。

從高雄鹽埕瀨南鹽場的海鹽生產，到工業發展的推進與消逝，即使鹽田早已不復存在，鹽並未自這座城市中退場，而是以轉化後的物質形式，持續滲入街區空間、生活節奏與感知經驗之中，成為一種隱而未顯、卻始終在場的歷史痕跡。

首屆「鹽埕藝術季」以「鹽域共振 SALT LINK」為題，從鹽埕的街區空間與地方日常出發，透過藝術實踐與文化行動，使沉積於城市中的物質關係再次被喚起，重新連結歷史、身體與當代生活，開展一條跨越時間的對話路徑。
