地圖上的經緯、山海的輪廓、季節的推移，這些具體的形體座標了我們對風景的認識。然而「風景」究竟是客觀現實的投射，還是主體意識的構造？
ss space space 即將帶來藝術家廖進祥個展《未曾抵達的風景》，呈現其最新系列作品。對廖進祥而言，繪畫不再是對客觀自然的再現，而是由感知、記憶與想像交織而成的內在探索。他以低限的線條與反覆塗抹的油彩製造細微的「錯位」，觀看畫作畫面時，必須經歷一段聚焦與調整的時間間隙，讓風景在模糊與清晰之間擺盪，進而拆解並重組我們關於海或雲的記憶。未曾抵達的風景從來不是一個可抵達的終點，而是一種懸置了既定認知、始終保持開放的對凝。
廖進祥出生於 1970 年，畢業於日本武藏野美術大學大學院造形研究科碩士，作品曾於日本、臺灣與英國等地展出，現經營武藏野畫室。

The latitudes and longitudes on a map, the contours of mountains and seas, the shifting of the seasons—these concrete forms provide the coordinates for our understanding of landscape. Yet, is a 'landscape' truly a projection of objective reality, or is it a construct of subjective consciousness?
ss space space is delighted to present ‘The Unreached Landscape’, a solo exhibition by artist Chinhsiang Liao, featuring his latest series of works. For Liao, painting is no longer a mere representation of objective nature, but an internal exploration interwoven with perception, memory, and imagination. Using minimalist lines and repeatedly applied oil paint, he creates subtle 'displacements'. When viewing his canvases, one must experience a temporal gap of focusing and adjusting, allowing the landscape to oscillate between the blurred and the clear, thereby dismantling and reassembling our memories of the sea or clouds. ‘The Unreached Landscape’ is never a final destination to be reached; rather, it is a suspension of preconceived notions—a perpetually open gaze.
Born in 1970, Chinhsiang Liao holds a Master’s degree from the Graduate School of Art and Design at Musashino Art University, Japan. His work has been exhibited across Japan, Taiwan, and the UK. He currently runs the Musashino Art Painting Studio.
