sculpture is deeply inspired by the 1990s, a transitional era valued for its authentic human connection and simpler, more meaningful cultural experiences. This period, not yet dominated by digital technology, fostered genuine interactions and a shared appreciation for time, making its nostalgic warmth a core part of the artwork’s essence.
The character’s inspiration, however, comes not from the grand heroes of 90s pop culture, but from the overlooked “minions” or sidekicks, like Stormtroopers or Kamen Rider grunts. ENIMOUS symbolizes these anonymous figures, giving them an “eye” as a sacred mark to affirm their existence. It is a powerful reminder that everyone, no matter how seemingly insignificant, has a role, value, and deserves to be seen.
