The global bronze market continues to be shaped by three major auction houses—, , and —which together secured seven places on this year’s Top 10 list. Hong Kong’s presence dropped sharply from eight lots in 2024 to just four, while mainland China accounted for only two, reflecting a more cautious market under stricter regulatory scrutiny. Europe, however, emerged as a new highlight: Paris claimed two spots, with London and Germany taking one each—an unprecedented shift not seen in the past two years of bronze auction rankings.
Imperial bronzes remain a key pillar, demonstrating steady and mature demand across both Hong Kong and European salerooms. By contrast, bronzes before Song dynasty delivered the strongest momentum of the season. Monumental and highly distinctive examples, especially those with solid provenance and refined craftsmanship, continue to attract serious collectors, signaling early signs of a market rebound.
