Emerging in eighteenth-century France, Rococo celebrated graceful curves, flowing scrollwork, shell motifs, and abundant floral decoration. Its elegant aesthetic soon spread across Europe and became one of the defining influences on nineteenth-century porcelain.

Founded in the late eighteenth century, Choisy-le-Roi was among France’s distinguished porcelain manufacturers. Inspired by the popularity of Meissen, the factory embraced the romantic German Floral Bouquet style, combining hand-painted roses, cornflowers, daisies, and wildflowers into soft, natural compositions enriched with delicate gilding.

This complete tea service includes a teapot, covered sugar bowl, cream jug, two cups with matching saucers, and its original serving tray. The finely painted floral decoration, intricate Rococo gilding, and harmonious design remain beautifully preserved. As complete tea services rarely survive intact after more than a century of use, examples such as this are especially appreciated by collectors for both their craftsmanship and rarity.

Few sculptures in the history of eighteenth-century France have achieved the enduring prestige of Chevaux de Marly. More than three centuries after its creation, it remains one of the most celebrated symbols of French royal art.

The original masterpiece was commissioned by King Louis XV from the royal sculptor Guillaume Coustou to adorn the entrance and gardens of the Château de Marly. Built by Louis XIV as his private royal retreat, the château welcomed only invited members of the royal family and a select circle of nobles. From the very beginning, Chevaux de Marly became inseparable from the elegance and prestige of the French Royal Court.

Cast in nineteenth-century France after Coustou’s original model, this distinguished pair combines richly patinated bronze with finely gilt bronze, capturing the dramatic encounter between the horse tamers and their spirited steeds with remarkable vitality and sculptural refinement. Preserved as a matching pair, they are exceptionally well suited for display on a mantelpiece, entrance console, or grand cabinet, bringing the timeless elegance of French classicism and the legacy of royal patronage into the home of today’s collector.

This elegant three-piece tea service is executed in Wedgwood’s iconic deep blue Jasperware and decorated with a remarkable series of classical and mythological scenes, transforming each vessel into a sculptural narrative.
The front of the teapot depicts a ceremonial offering. Two draped female figures stand beside an altar, one carrying a ritual vessel and the other presenting a garland before rising incense. The composition evokes the ideals of devotion, harmony, and virtue celebrated in classical art.
The reverse reveals a richly symbolic mythological scene. At its centre stands Cupid upon a pedestal, representing love and beauty. To one side, a graceful female figure bears a bird of prey upon her arm, while opposite her stands an archer holding a bow, recalling Diana, goddess of the hunt. Together, these figures create an allegorical celebration of nature, ideal beauty, and noble character.

For the true fascination lies not simply in the celebrated Wedgwood Blue. It lies in Wedgwood’s extraordinary ability to place an entire classical world within the palm of one's hand.

本組三件式茶具以 Wedgwood 最經典的深藍色 Jasperware 製作，茶壺、糖罐與奶盅皆飾有豐富的古典人物場景，讓每一件作品都彷彿是一頁來自古典世界的浮雕畫卷。

茶壺正面描繪一場莊嚴的祭祀儀式。兩位身著古典長袍的女子分立祭壇兩側，一人手捧祭器，另一人手持花環向香壇獻禮，裊裊升起的香煙使畫面更顯神聖而寧靜。
背面則呈現更具神話色彩的構圖。中央的帶翼丘比特立於基座之上，象徵愛與美；左側女子手臂上停棲著一隻鷹，右側女子則持弓而立，令人聯想到古典神話中的狩獵女神 Diana。營造出充滿寓意的場景，展現新古典主義對自然、理想與人性美德的讚頌。

這些浮雕不只是裝飾圖案，更展現了 Wedgwood 最具代表性的工藝成就。人物衣褶、羽翼、樹葉、祭壇與動物細節皆以立體浮雕呈現，在深藍色器身的映襯下更顯細膩而富有層次。

In early 18th-century Europe, Chinese porcelain remained one of the most coveted luxuries among royalty and aristocracy.

Augustus II the Strong, was famously obsessed with white porcelain. It is even said that he traded entire regiments of soldiers in exchange for Chinese porcelain, a fascination that ultimately led to the founding of Europe’s first hard-paste porcelain manufactory.

In 1710, Meissen was officially established. It became not only Germany’s most important porcelain house, but also the birthplace of European hard-paste porcelain.

KPM, on the other hand, represented the refined aesthetic of the Prussian royal court.

Founded in 1763 under the patronage of Frederick the Great, KPM Berlin became renowned for producing exceptional porcelain for European royalty and high society.

The tea pot, produced by KPM, features an elongated silhouette, sculptural relief detailing, and delicate gilt accents that reflect the refined elegance of German classical design.

The cups and accompanying pieces by Meissen are adorned with hand-painted floral motifs upon luminous white porcelain, preserving the timeless beauty of traditional European floral porcelain.

Created circa 1947–1973, the service belongs to a period when Europe was gradually emerging from the aftermath of war and rediscovering beauty, art, and the rituals of daily life once again.

What these pieces preserve is not merely the artistry of porcelain itself, but an entire era in which beauty was considered an essential part of everyday living.

18 世紀初的歐洲，中國瓷器仍是皇室與貴族爭相收藏的珍品。而當時的薩克森國王 Augustus II the Strong，幾乎痴迷於白瓷。他甚至曾以大量軍隊交換中國瓷器，也因此推動了歐洲第一座硬瓷工坊的誕生。
1710 年，Meissen 正式成立。它不只是德國最重要的瓷廠，更被視為「歐洲硬瓷的起點」。

而 KPM，則是另一個象徵普魯士王室審美的名字。1763 年由腓特烈大帝支持建立的 KPM Berlin，長年專為歐洲皇室與上流社會製作高級瓷器，風格比起法式華麗，更多了一種克制而優雅的古典氣質。

這組作品最迷人的地方，正是在於兩個德國頂級瓷廠的相遇。主壺來自 KPM，以修長壺身、立體紋路與細膩描金，展現德國古典設計特有的美感。而杯組則來自 Meissen，以手繪花卉點綴溫潤白瓷，保留歐洲花卉瓷最經典的優雅氣息。

製作年代約為 1947–1973 年，那是一個歐洲逐漸走出戰後時期、重新回到生活與藝術之中的年代。

它們所留下的，不只是瓷器工藝本身，更是一個如何將美融入生活之中的時代。

By the late nineteenth century, Europe had entered a period deeply fascinated with the elegance of earlier aristocratic culture.

Porcelain from the Dresden region of Germany became especially admired for its Rococo-inspired decoration, often featuring romantic garden scenes, classical architecture, and finely dressed figures reminiscent of eighteenth-century court life.

Since the nineteenth century, Dresden had been renowned for its refined porcelain and highly skilled decorating studios.

Under light, the gilding reveals remarkable depth and texture, embodying the richly decorative aesthetic favored in European interiors during the early twentieth century.

The figures, garden terraces, and romantic landscapes echo the atmosphere of the French fête galante tradition — a style associated with elegance, leisure, and refined social life.

Pieces such as these were often displayed within salons, drawing rooms, and private residences, valued not merely as tableware, but as decorative objects expressing taste and cultural refinement.

十九世紀末的歐洲，正處於一個對過往宮廷美學重新著迷的年代。
來自德國 Dresden 地區的裝飾瓷器，深受洛可可藝術與法國宮廷文化影響，常以庭園人物、古典建築與浪漫景致作為主題，成為當時歐洲宅邸與沙龍空間中極具代表性的陳設作品。

Dresden 一帶自十九世紀以來便以精緻瓷器與手工裝飾聞名，許多作品會由專門的裝飾工作坊進行手繪與描金。

此組瓷盤以柔和的霧藍與奶油白色調為基底，環繞著洛可可式庭園人物場景。中央繁複的放射狀描金，在光線下呈現立體而細膩的層次，帶有二十世紀初歐洲室內裝飾藝術特有的華麗感。
