客家飲食氣味的視覺想像:「噴香」

「噴香」在客語中形容香氣濃郁四溢,客家人常用此詞來形容食物所散發出的香氣。客籍詩人張芳慈與光試所共創作品《香香个香格里拉》象徵生產色香味客家飲食的大灶及文化交流的生產器,透過將客家烹煮食物常用的動詞放入灶中,連結出客語五種腔調的音義與客家菜名;並將詞彙結合色彩轉化為以QR-Code圖像為主的互動作品。讓觀眾經由這口結合傳統與當代的灶,想像客家飲食的香氣與文化的流動性,也向為家族奉獻的傳統女性角色致敬。
A Visual Imagination of the Smell of Hakka Food:(aromatic) Adjective.
In Hakka, pun hiong denotes a strong, fragrant aroma, often associated with food.Hakka poet Fang-Ci Chang, in collaboration with Light Arts, LAB, has created "Hiongri-La," a clever play on "Shangri-La" and the Hakka word "hiong" (aromatic). The installation incorporates common Hakka cooking verbs,
their pronunciations in five Hakka accents, and related dish names. This interactive piece uses QR-code technology and images to create visual links between words and transforming colors. The kitchen range, a blend of the traditional and the contemporary, allows viewers to imagine the aroma of Hakka cuisine and the fluidity of culture while honoring the traditional role of women in Hakka families.
