鯉魚藝廊很開心與各位分享《在不是回憶也非此刻之時》（In a Time neither Memory nor the Present) 王仲平 個展，即將於5/9（六）開幕 ✨
「從開始有意識的拿起相機拍照至今，不知不覺也超過了十年，我在這段期間累積了大量的照片，這些照片大都是分散的、零碎的、沒有什麼特別的意義跟內容，它們在我的硬碟裡面四處散落跟堆積，就像一片灰塵中的一粒粒塵埃，來自不同的時間、不同的地點，但最後都隨著時間的推移，落在了同一個地方。
透過一張照片看見過去的某一刻，似乎是一件很理所當然的事情，但我當時究竟是基於什麼樣的心境跟動機拍下這些照片的？現在的我也似乎回想不太起來，我只能一邊看著這些照片，一邊試圖在腦海中，重新建構出那個曾經存在的某個時間。
偶然讀到了谷川俊太郎的詩，開頭第一句就讓我印象深刻：「在不是回憶，也非此刻，之時，看一張明信片。」我心想，這不就是我在看這些照片時的感覺嗎？ 於是我開始思考，如果說照片是關於過去，過去又是某個曾經的此刻，那麼當我看著一張無法被回憶，也難以被指認的照片時，我該如何理解觀看這張照片的經驗？又該如何從這樣的照片當中，看見那個無從想起，也無法抵達的時間？」

“Since I first consciously picked up a camera, more than ten years have passed without me really noticing. Over that time, I’ve accumulated a large number of photographs. Most of them are scattered, fragmented, and seemingly lacking any particular meaning or content. They lie dispersed and piled up across my hard drive, like tiny particles of dust within a cloud, originating from different times and places, yet eventually settling in the same spot as time goes by.
To look at a photograph and see a moment from the past feels almost absolute. But what state of mind or motivation led me to take these photos in the first place? I can hardly recall. As I look through them, I can only try to reconstruct those moments that once existed.
By chance, I came across a poem by Shuntaro Tanikawa. The opening line struck me deeply: “In a time neither memory/ nor the present/ stare at a postcard” I thought to myself, this is exactly how it feels when I look at these photographs. So I began to wonder: if photographs are about the past, and the past is a former present, then when I look at an image that cannot be remembered or even identified, how should I understand the experience of viewing it? And how can I, through such an image, perceive a time that cannot be recalled and cannot be reached?”
