刺青後大約三個小時都會包上保鮮膜，避免刺青與衣服直接接觸，之後再用溫水輕輕清洗，以衛生紙稍微壓乾，不要使用肥皂或大力擦洗，因為可能會撕裂傷口，癒合後的顏色不完整，雖然還是可以去補色，但是這段時間非常關鍵，特別留意比較好。
