Cinema Club is honoured to welcome our very own super producer & director Gabrielle Scott to Cinema Club for the special premiere of MONOLOGUE MOMENTS ✨ a new series from TheTelly & ARC that asks us to hear familiar words in a whole new way.

What happens when monologues we know and love from iconic films are pulled from their original worlds and placed into completely new moments? Do they still mean the same thing? Or does context change everything? 🤔

Come experience 5 original episodes featuring monologues from films including The Matrix Revolutions, Finding Nemo, Stalker, Girl on the Bridge and The Dark Knight 🎥 reimagined through new original shorts.

Join us This Wednesday for another epic Cinema Club experience at The Big Black Box as we spotlight the work of Trinidadian filmmaker Akkel Charles, director, writer, producer and creative storyteller pushing Caribbean Cinema forward.

This special double feature presentation includes:

🎥 Get Free!
A gripping short film exploring violence against women through the story of Iris, whose life is disrupted when her ex-boyfriend returns seeking closure. Raw, emotional and deeply relevant.

⚖️ Caribbean Justice
The hit local television court show created by Akkel Charles through AA Nation TV, bringing Caribbean stories and disputes to life through a uniquely local lens with Judge Myers.

Akkel Charles has represented Trinidad & Tobago through projects featured and developed at international spaces including the Cannes Film Festival Impact Producers Lab and the European Film Market, while continuing to create stories rooted in Caribbean reality, culture and community.

As always, every other Wednesday we gather for film, conversation and community. After the screenings, stay for an artist talk and a casual mix-and-mingle with fellow creatives, film lovers and supporters of Caribbean storytelling.
