Closing one chapter and setting the stage for what’s next. 🎭🎶✨

At our final staff meeting for the fiscal year, TPAC CEO Jared Prima reflected on a busy Heritage season, the team’s achievements, and the addition of new staff, while sharing a glimpse of what’s ahead for the Company.

With new productions, regional collaborations, and innovative projects on the horizon, TPAC is looking forward to another exciting year of contributing to the growth of Tobago’s creative industries.

From Tobago to Toronto, we brought a little piece of home with us. 🇹🇹✨

Tobago-De 8th Wonder was an unforgettable celebration of Tobago’s creativity, culture, heritage, music, movement and, most importantly, our people.

Held at the Jane Mallet Theatre, St. Lawrence Centre for the Arts in Toronto, the evening brought together an incredible showcase of Tobagonian performing artists, musicians and creatives who shared our stories and traditions with a Toronto audience.

From the culinary experience that welcomed guests earlier in the evening, to the vibrant stage presentation and the Tobago flavours, treats and merchandise waiting outside, the message was simple: Tobago is beyond ordinary.

A heartfelt thank you to all who helped bring this experience to life: the Trinidad and Tobago Consulate General, Tobago House of Assembly (THA), Division of Tourism, Antiquities and Creative Industries (DTACI), Tobago Tourism Agency Limited (TTAL), Tobago Festivals Commission Limited (TFCL), and Tobago Performing Arts Company (TPAC).

And to every performer, musician, creative, production team member, partner and supporter who contributed to the journey, thank you for helping us tell the Tobago story.

Toronto, we hope you enjoyed your taste of Tobago.

The spotlight is BACK! 🎬✨

Next up in the TPAC Spotlight Video Series is Artistic Resident Cherysh La Touche, a dynamic triple-threat performer whose work spans acting, vocals, and dance.

From standout roles in "Bitter Cassava", "Once on This Island", and "She Becomes Whole" to her passion for teaching and youth development through the performing arts, Cherysh brings talent, heart, and purpose to every space she enters.

Before they bent, balanced, and gave limbo their best shot, the young campers got a little lesson in the history and cultural significance behind the art form, led by TPAC’s Cultural Dance and Carnival Arts Specialist, Mrs. Aquisia Fredrick-Thomas.

Thank you to the Division of Tourism, Antiquities & Creative Industries for inviting TPAC to be part of this wonderful initiative and to share in an experience centred on Tobago’s culture, heritage and young people. ❤️

How low can you go? 👀🔥

On Friday, August 28, young campers put their limbo skills to the test as TPAC joined the Division of Tourism, Antiquities & Creative Industries for the final day of the Tobago Young Ambassadors Camp!

TPAC’s Cultural Dance and Carnival Arts Specialist, Mrs. Aquisia Fredrick-Thomas, led the children through an interactive introduction to limbo, sharing its history and cultural significance, demonstrating the art form and, of course, giving everyone a chance to get under the bar!

We were happy to play our part in a day filled with culture, tradition, and plenty of fun. ✨

Tobago is heading to Toronto... and TPAC is proud to be part of the journey! 🇹🇹✈️🇨🇦

This week, TPAC joins the Tobago delegation for Tobago Week in Toronto, following an invitation from the Consulate General of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, Toronto, where we'll help share the warmth, creativity, and cultural richness of our island with the diaspora and Canadian market.

As Tobago’s performing arts company, we’re proud to once again serve as cultural ambassadors, using performance and storytelling to showcase our island beyond our shores and support the promotion of Tobago on the international stage. 🎭🎶

On September 10, we’ll be part of "Tobago De 8th Wonder" at the St. Lawrence Centre for the Arts, alongside the Tobago House of Assembly, Tobago Festivals Commission, Tobago Tourism Agency, and other partners bringing Tobago’s culture, cuisine, and stories to Toronto.

Behind every great performance is a team making it all come together.🎭

Meet Amaiya Yeates, TPAC’s new Production Management Officer!

A theatre practitioner and cultural advocate, Amaiya holds a BA in Theatre Arts with a Minor in Festival Management from The University of the West Indies. Her experience spans directing, stage management, event production and creative development, complemented by a background in digital marketing and content management.

Her connection to Tobago’s cultural landscape began at an early age and has included involvement in productions and events such as the Tobago Heritage Festival and its Opening Night productions. In 2024, she was also named Miss Tobago Heritage Personality.

As Production Management Officer, Amaiya will help coordinate the planning and ex*****on of TPAC’s productions and events, working alongside our artists, creative teams and production personnel to help bring ideas from planning to stage.

We’re excited to have her creativity, production experience and passion for Tobago’s performing arts as part of the TPAC team.

Welcome to TPAC, Amaiya! ✨
