Trinidad and Tobago's greatest strength has always been its people, the rich tapestry of cultures and traditions, and the creativity and courage we display in times of both opportunities and challenge.

As we commemorate the 64th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, we reflect with pride on our nation's journey, our resilience, determination and enduring spirit.

Happy Independence Day from the Management and Staff of the Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago!

The Central Bank Auditorium proudly joins the world in celebrating World Steelpan Day — August 11th!

This global recognition not only honours the invention of the steelpan right here in Trinidad and Tobago, but it also affirms our intellectual property rights to this powerful symbol of cultural expression.

Let’s continue to protect and promote the legacy of the steelpan — an instrument that speaks the rhythm of our people and the soul of our nation.
