Statement from the Temple Fair Chinese New Year Committee
The Chinese New Year Committee would like to extend its sincere thanks to everyone who joined us in celebrating Chinese New Year at The Anchorage this year. The overwhelming support and enthusiasm shown by the public in celebrating Chinese culture was truly heartening and deeply appreciated by our entire community.
We would also like to offer our sincere apologies to those who may have experienced difficulty moving comfortably within the venue during the event. The turnout far exceeded our expectations, and while we were delighted to see such a large and vibrant crowd enjoying the festivities—from the cultural performances to the dragon boat activities along the waterfront—the level of attendance meant that space within certain areas of the venue became limited at times.
Your incredible support demonstrates the growing appreciation for Chinese cultural celebrations in Trinidad and Tobago, and we are truly grateful to everyone who came out to share in the experience with us.
Moving forward, the Chinese New Year Committee is committed to building on this enthusiasm by exploring ways to provide larger and more accommodating venues, ensuring that future celebrations allow even more people to participate comfortably in the festivities.
Once again, we thank the public for the tremendous support shown to this year’s celebration. Your presence made the event a true success and a powerful expression of cultural unity.
We wish everyone a very Happy Chinese New Year, and may the Year of the Fire Horse bring strength, prosperity, passion, and good fortune to all.
