Super Fast/Easy - 10 Minute Barfi using SUPER COW Full Cream Milk Powder.
Super Cow Milk
Place 2 cups of Super Cow Full Cream Milk Powder in a bowl, mix in 1 tsp of ground cardamom and then add in ½ cup of room temperature ghee, mix through completely and set aside.
Add 1 ½ cups of granulated sugar, ½ cup of water, 1 stick of cinnamon, 5 whole cardamom pods and 1 tbsp finely grated ginger to a medium saucepan and stir until sugar has been completely dissolved on medium-low heat.
Bring to a boil while stirring occasionally for about 4-5 minutes.
Reduce heat to low and add the milk powder and ghee mixture to the syrup and stir briskly and continuously until mixture begins to leave the side of the pot/pan. (About 5-6 minutes)
Stir in saffron threads (optional)
Remove from heat and pour into parchment/baking sheet lined 8” dish.
Smooth over quickly and top with toppings of your choice; chopped toasted nuts, sprinkles, dried floral petals, edible silver/gold leaf, coconut flakes, etc.
Lightly press in and set aside to cool for about 45-60 minutes before cutting.
Barfi can be stored in an airtight container in a cool space for about 1 week/Refrigerated for about 2 weeks.
