The first event space of the Art Space Mobility Program has been established, marking an important milestone in our journey.

This program was born out of a deep desire to make art more accessible and empower artists and curators to create spaces that encourage community and healing wherever they are in the world. By providing all the necessary materials, we hope to trigger transformation in places that are often overlooked.

Our first space of the Mobility Programme was established in Hatay, a city still recovering from the devastating earthquake that hit Turkey and Syria. The scars of this catastrophe are deep and the effects linger in the rubble, in the silence of empty streets and in lives changed forever. But in the midst of this profound loss, there is a quiet strength, a collective hope.

With this new space, we aim to honor this resistance. We believe that art has the power to heal, to give voice to pain and to reignite community spirit. This is more than a project; it is a small step towards restoration where it is needed most.

Wherever you are in the world, you can join this movement. Let's build, heal and create together. 🌍

We are grateful to have supported Irem's vision im creating an art space in a place thay has long been overlooked -a place where access to art has become a distant memory...

Her idea for this location reflects the core of oir mission: to bring art back to communities where it has been silenced or forgotten.

💥 Let's get to know her more! 🤩🌸

İrem Çiçek Engin was born in 1994 in Bursa, Turkey. She is an interior architect and painter who graduated from Bahçeşehir University's Interior Architecture and Environmental Design program. Known for her cheerful, colorful, positive, and harmonious personality, İrem Çiçek has a strong affinity for colors and embraces a vibrant lifestyle herself.

In her artistic journey, she particularly expresses herself and her inner emotions through oil paintings. She practices her profession by executing designs and shaping spaces. İrem Çiçek perceives spatial design akin to painting a canvas, believing that spaces can establish an emotional connection with people.

Are you a passionate curator with a shared ambition to create engaging street exhibitions? The Art Space Project is looking for guerrilla curators from around the world to design and direct their own street exhibitions.
 

This open call is for individuals/duos/collectives who are ready to take their curatorial skills on the road. Share your unique vision and create engaging art experiences in urban environments, reach diverse audiences and transform public spaces into living art hubs.
 

What does Art Space Project offer?

PR Support: We will help promote your street exhibition, ensuring it gains visibility and attracts a wide audience.

Art Supplies: We will provide all the necessary tools and materials to make your street exhibition a success.

Display: Your street exhibition will be featured on Art Space Project's website and social media channels. It will also take place in our online exhibition and archive.

Are you an artist with a unique technique and a passion for teaching?

The Art Space Project invites artists and art collectives from around the world, aged 18 and above, to introduce and share their art techniques by leading an art space in their own region.
 

Whether you work with ink, watercolor, crayons, or have an experimental approach, we want to hear from you! This is your chance to facilitate a workshop, engage with your community, and become part of an international art movement.

What Art Space Project Offers:
 

PR Support: We’ll promote your art space and workshops in your city, ensuring you reach a wide audience.

Art Tools: We’ll provide all the necessary materials for your workshop, so you can focus on creating, sharing and teaching.

Are you an artist based in Berlin with a unique technique and a passion for teaching? The Art Space Project is calling on local artists to introduce and share their art methods by leading workshops in Berlin.

What Art Space Project Offers:

PR Support: We’ll promote your art space and workshops within Berlin, helping you reach a wide audience.

Art Materials: We’ll provide all the necessary tools and supplies for your workshop, so you can focus on creating and teaching.

Visibility: Your workshop and art space will be featured on the Art Space Project’s website and social media channels. Additionally, it will be included in our online exhibition and archive.

 

Guidelines: ​

Art Space Project strongly encourages inclusive and diverse project proposals that are having the intention of providing a creative and safe space for gender minorities, BIPoC, immigrant, disabled and marginalized groups.

Projects that reinforce or perpetuate homophobia, transphobia, misogyny, racism, antisemitism or any form of discrimination/violence will not be evaluated.

Proposals must be submitted in English.

All applications submitted will be considered final and treated as such.

Art Space Project seeks for non-commercial projects and does not earn profits from the sale of the artworks. However, the works produced during the event remain at Art Space Project to be used in future art spaces, added to the online exhibition and archived.

The Art Space to be built should be considered in a park, street or any open area in Berlin, and weather conditions should be considered accordingly. 

The applicant must set up the Art Space in Berlin anytime in August or September 2024.

This open call is open to both individual artists and art collectives. 

Applicants must live in Berlin.

The applicant must be over 18 years old.
