The 'T' Gallery, part 3

As one of the winners of Eco Quiz Award by Intesa San Paolo Bank, me and my friends at got the chance for a trip to this amazing city in Italy, Turin, back in September last year. It has been one of the greatest experiences of my life, moments of which I still remember vividly.

I had such a blast shooting and editing these pics, they are some of my favourites and I wonder why I didn't share them in stories months ago 😅 (probably just me procrastinating...againnn). Anyway, hope you enjoy them. 💓

Yours,
Alkid.

Destined for the T - The 'T' Gallery, part 1

I've always had a passion about photography, and from a recent school exchange with I had the opportunity to capture in image a whole different environment, a different city from Tirana that I see each and every day, named Tuzla. This is a series of 9:16 black and white pictures captured with Instagram stories in mind, with a little touch of grain, to achieve the sort of aesthetic that I want. 🤍🖤

This will be a series of 3 posts called altogether The T Gallery, because it will feature images from 3 cities starting with T - Tuzla, Tirana and Turin.

Hope you'll enjoy them, even if they're not as interesting as my drawings (maybe 🙃).

Yours,
Alkid

Sturm und Drang! Swipe for more cool stuff👉🏻

July, wizards 🧙🏻‍♂️ are home for some vacations, but in clubs were flourishing, and one of 'em was Drawing Club, mentored by , in which we had to draw with pencil or rapid, and of course I chose rapid to draw in my favourite style, stippling 😌. Researching a bit what I could draw, came to the logo of Durmstrang Institute, which in the Wizarding World is a magic school located in far north of Europe, with students coming from Balkans as well, Albania eventually. Another reason why I chose to draw that logo, is because it features a double-headed eagle, like in Albania's flag.

In this post you'll find some pretty shots of the artwork placed in a red fabric, representing Durmstrang uniform, also a moodboard of this school's aesthetic, an ancient map that shows the location of the school, and finally how my artwork could be used as a wallpaper.

Hope you like it, and sorry for not posting more than half a year, but now that the 'Rapid Art' series is complete, unpublished content will be posted (even if they may look outdated in my taste rn).

Sincerely
Alkid.

Hello dear friends 👋🏻

Not so long ago, I gave this interview for TUMO Tirana, as one of its most recognized students. I was so thrilled about it, that's why you can see me trying to hold my emotions 😂. The video is out now in and you can see that it is cherry color-themed - the signature colour of Graphic Design. I want to thank TUMO so much for this opportunity - the chance to talk about me and promote myself.

Hugs and kisses,
Alkid 💙

Shkolla Qemal Stafa( Faqja Zyrtare) Evis Kushi

November, such an important month for Albanians, that signifies independence and liberty for this country. 🇦🇱🦅 Two are the most recognized people, our national hero Scanderbeg, and our first prime minister, Ismail Qemali. Both of them raised the Albanian flag on 28th of November in different centuries, in the name of Albanians, and they deserve an incredible respect.

So, for 'Shqipëria ime' competition organised by Ministry of Education, I decided to draw them together, as one. I know that there are far better artworks in that competition, but I decided to do this in this style, pretty different from the rest. And the name I gave to this artwork really strikes - The Statesmen (truly Burra Shteti).

I hope you liked it, and if you want, like my post in the link in bio and spread the word.

Also, I'd like to thank you all for your support, we just reached 900 followers, fam. Awesome to have you with me and I'm extremely grateful to you! 😄🙏🏻

Sincerely
Alkid.

This spooky seasons comes with lots of ghosts 👻, pumpkins🎃, bats🦇, vampires🧛‍♂️, zombies🧟‍♂️ and...what was I thinking...yeah, wizards!🧙‍♂️ At Hogwarts an unprecedented festive atmosphere surely prevails, and I CAN'T stop imagining what it would be like if I were there. Thinking of Hogwarts, thinking of the magnificent Wizarding World, thinking of Harry, Ron, Hermione,...thinking of McGonagall. Yes, Professor Minerva McGonagall, our beloved one. So why not drawing her?

Concept:
As some know and some may not, McGonagall can turn into a cat, as we've seen in the first movie, so that's why there's a cat sitting in her hat! Also, why just colouring in black when I could put the Moon and stars like in my previous creations? It looks dope and perfectly matches.

Technique:
For this artwork I used a drawing ink pen (0.5) to colour and drawing dots to create shadows and texture. This means this is not GRAPHIC DESIGN work!

Well hello again after all these weeks! 👋🏻

Leaving Graphic Design Series, now I present to youuuuu: Rapid Art Series! 🎉 Since these kind of artworks are the most liked in my profile, I decided to come up with brand new stuff. This series will consist in 3 (or more) artworks in this genre, and The Leaf is the first of them. I totally love this technique, it's so pure, simple, clean, all-black, minimalistic.

Here we're seeing each other again, friends 👋🏻

As I mentioned before, this August is dedicated to my creations made in Tumo Tirana, and this one is the last. Yeah, now you remeber it! 😂 I revealed this design few weeks ago in my stories, because it was the World Emoji Day, there was no better day to show it. Yep, emojis were my inspiration for this pattern, alongside with other endless possibilities.

The topic was to desing a pattern, whatever we wanted. I got a pencil and paper. It was a rainy day, and I wanted something to cheer me up. 💡Emojis popped in my head, and started designing. Then I had to pick the colours. Scrolling through Dribbble, I found that amazing pattern with a great colour palette. So, that's it! Oh, and I also I had to create the outline version of the pattern, as seen in 2nd slide.

👉🏻 Swipe left for more

Well hello there 👋🏻,

This August, I'm coming with a series of three carousels showcasing my recent designs made in Tumo Tirana. After working in Black & White, it's time to spice things up with some colours, using them to express different types of moods. So, my task was to create a design based on the reference in Adobe Illustrator to make it look as similar as possible. Then, I had to make 3 more versions using different colors and lighting conditions.

📸 Reference design by Alexis Christodoulou. This self-taught 3D artist creates the dreamiest places you wish were real by offering a clean, seamless aesthetic.
