PARLANDO bir Vokal Enstalasyon projesidir. BİLGİ Project'03 kapsamında, İstanbul Bilgi Üniversitesi Sahne ve Gösteri Sanatları Bölümü PA 214 VOKAL PERFORMANS dersi öğrencileri tarafından, öğretim Görevlisi Celâl Eldeniz’in süpervizyonunda gerçekleştirilmiş bir projedir.

Projemizde öğrencilerimiz, günlük iletişimlerimiz sırasında maruz kaldığımız melodileri dinleyicilerine müzikli bir biçimde geri yansıtıyorlar. Bu amaçla, Türkçe’de farklı durum, rol ve ortamlarda açığa çıkan muhtelif melodileri hem konuşma hem şarkılama şeklinde icra ediyorlar. Bunu yaparken melodileri ön plana çıkarmak adına biz dizi anlamsız sözcüğe ve heceye ("cibrişçe") başvuruyorlar.
Projemizde, konuşma melodilerine (prozodi) ve bunların dinleyenlerin zihinlerinde oluşturduğu müzikal imgelemlere dikkati çekiyoruz. Bunu yaparken bilimsel araştırmaların ortaya koyduğu bir gerçek üzerinden hareket ediyoruz: Sözel bir iletişimin etkinliğini, inandırıcılığını ve mesajların kalıcılığını belirlemede -yaklaşık değerlerle- beden dili % 70, konuşmadaki ses tonu/melodi %20, sözcükler ise % 10 oranında etkili olmaktadır. Kısacası, görünen o ki, ne söylediğimizdense neyi nasıl söylediğimiz daha önem kazanmakta.

PARLANDO is a Vocal Installation Project. Under the auspices of BİLGİ Project’03, the students in PA 214 VOCAL PERFORMANCE course at Performing Arts Department at İstanbul Bilgi University have realized this project under the direction and supervision of the course instructor, Celâl Eldeniz.

In our project, our students musically mirror the melodies that we are exposed to during our daily communications to their audience. In order to do that, in a speaking and singing manner they perform particular melodies in Turkish language which are revealed in different situations, roles and environments. In doing so, they employ a set of meaningless words and syllables (i.e.”gibberish”) to make the melodies stand out.
In our project, we underline the speech melodies (prosody) and the musical imagery that they create in the listeners’ minds. We act upon a fact revealed by scientific research: 70 % of the effectiveness, persuasiveness and persistence of a verbal communication is determined by the body language used, 20% of it is determined by the tone of the voice/speech melody and 10 % of it is determined by the words in the message -approximately. In short, it seems that how we say is more important than what we say.
