Weeks 1 & 2 of Christiane Peschek’s solo exhibition, “PHOENIX CASTLE.” The exhibition rotates weekly, featuring new works and scents presented to explore different conditions of the Earth.
“Peschek’s series of shadowy portraits, The Tired, comprise observations or sleep, rest self-portraits, with the faces shrouded by hair, eye masks or hands. Like ghosts, they occupy an intermediate state. When the body withdraws from its surroundings, it is temporarily unavailable to the demands of the world. The sleeping body becomes an image of another kind of existence, one that is not performing itself for the outside world.“ (Exhibition text by Nadine Khalil Nadine K)
Christiane Peschek’s kişisel sergisi “Anka Kuşu Kalesi”nin birinci ve ikinci haftası. Dünyanın farklı durumlarını keşfetmek amacıyla sunulan yeni eserler ve kokularla sergi her hafta yenileniyor.
“Peschek’in gölgeli portre serisi The Tired, yüzleri saçlar, göz maskeleri veya ellerle örtülü, uyku veya dinlenme anlarını yansıtan otoportrelerden oluşur. Hayaletler gibi, bu portreler de ara bir durumda yer alırlar. Beden çevresinden çekildiğinde, dünyanın taleplerine geçici olarak cevap veremez hale gelir. Uyuyan beden, dış dünya için kendini sergilemeyen, başka tür bir varoluşun imgesi haline gelir.” (Sergi metni Nadine Khalil tarafından yazılmıştır.)
