Koleksiyonumuzun bu özel parçasında, Rus realizminin en sarsıcı isimlerinden biri olan Nikolay Ge (1831–1894) imzası var. 🏛️

Rus sanatında “Gezginler” akımının kurucularından olan Ge, sadece dış dünyayı değil, insanın iç dünyasını resmetmeyi amaçladı. Ünlü yazar Lev Tolstoy ile kurduğu yakın dostluk, sanatına derin bir felsefi boyut kattı. Eserlerinde ışığı ve gölgeyi adeta bir vicdan muhasebesi gibi kullanan usta ressam, akademik kuralları yıkarak “duygunun ve hakikatin” ön planda olduğu bir tarz benimsedi. ✨
