Storytime: I’ve made this chart for finding the best color combos (called them universes) as a solution to fix my struggle with having a consistent overall color palette every time I paint. Over the years, I thought I kind of lost my watercolor love, or something. Seeing this made me realize that I didn’t lose it at all, I literally lost all of my supplies instead 😂 Literally a whole bag of my favorite brushes and paints were stolen a couple of years ago. The bag and even tech devices were found but my paintings and supplies were taken. I never replaced them fully because I also believe in limited color palettes.

I really, REALLY would like to imagine that the thief person has a child and is painting with my Kuratakes and Van Goghs everyday. And that this child is gonna be an amazing artist one day (insert Borat’s “NOT”) here. Haha. So, yes, imma get me some colors and brushes for my birthday, cuz looook at this dedication🎂

One of my first and favorite acrylic paintings, the floating rock with a cistern for a background. You can find the previous versions in my feed, they are much more elusive - almost feels like it belongs to a spirit world.

My sky girl 🌊 🥹 this is an update on the previous posts but she changed so much between each take that it feels like this is what maturing is. I started out with acrylics, and now moving on with oils.

From a seedling to a 🍑 peach.

Ladies and gentlemen, I present you the Asian Paradise Flycatcher. This is from a series of paintings I did over the course of two weeks for a charity cause. Thanks to the buyer of this painting the organizers got a step closer to opening a vet on an island in Turkey.
