Kendi alanlarında son derece başarılı iki terapist Dr. Anita Wells ve Dr. Sidney Gates’in hayatları, Ethan ile tanışmalarıyla altüst olur. Ethan, sinir bozmayı adeta bir sanata dönüştürmüştür — ve hiçbir terapi yöntemi ona işlemez. Ama Anita ve Sidney de pes etmeye niyetli değildir.
