Fikret Parlak was very busy this month: He partakes in an exhibition that spans the whole island of Büyükada and he opened up his workshop to the public for three days. So many interested (and interesting) people visited us that we were overwhelmed.

One of the greatest Turkish film directors/painters/authors yesterday visited Fikret Parlak and took a picture of an early work by him. A simple, yet incredibly beautiful coaster, with its Seljuki image of 800 years of history becomes more alive only through the lens of a genius.
