Gezici Festival / Festival on Wheels 1995 yılında başlayan, hem Türkiye hem yurt dışında çok sayıda kentte sayısız filmi seyirciyle buluşturan bir festival, Gezici Festival.

Ankara Sinema Derneği’nin T.C. Kültür ve Turizm Bakanlığı’nın katkılarıyla düzenlediği Gezici Festival, 2 - 14 Aralık 2022 tarihleri arasında 27'inci kez sinemayı şehir şehir dolaştırıyor.

We are heartbroken to learn of the passing of Edna Fainaru.

Today, we are mourning not only an extraordinary figure of cinema, but also a dear friend, mentor, companion, and one of those rare people whose presence made the world feel both bigger and closer.

With her immense knowledge, experience, generosity, and passion for cinema, Edna inspired countless filmmakers and film professionals across borders and generations.

We will remember her elegance, her thoughtfulness, and conversations that never felt long enough. She was the friend who would reach out from the other side of the world to help, the mentor we turned to whenever we felt lost, and the person with the finest eye — for films, for words, for food, and for life itself.

We have lost a cinema legend and a deeply cherished friend.

Dear Edna, thank you for your friendship, wisdom, and kindness. You will never be forgotten.

Gezici Festival’e 2001 yılında Bursa’da konuk olmuştu. Salonda Dolby sistem olmadığını duyduğunda derin bir üzüntü yaşamış, ancak filmin sonunda seyircilerin hayranlığıyla yeniden neşesini bulmuştu. Çok büyük bir sinemacıyı yitirdik. Çok üzgünüz.
