L’exposition « Neverland : fabrique des imaginaires » réunit dix-neuf artistes émergents issus de différentes pratiques. Les participants ont été invités à imaginer un monde idyllique et à le rendre tangible à travers leurs créations, chacun à sa manière.

Layers of paper, torn and folded. Cuts like open wounds revealing the fragility of a land. In the face of the threats that beset it, roots push through the rubble, and the soil resists. This work speaks of a connection that is not resignation but a silent struggle: to preserve, to protect. As Mahmoud Darwish says: “On this earth there is what deserves life:” Every crack lets light through. Every tear is a breath, a memory that refuses to be forgotten.”

Najah Zarbout explores the tensions of the contemporary world through multidisciplinary artistic practice (drawing, video, installation). Her work reflects current events, society, and the human condition, addressing themes such as submission, disobedience, and resilience, while inviting reflection on their manifestations in our environment, with a particular focus on ecology. Her work has been exhibited in Tunisia and internationally (South Africa, France, Switzerland, Belgium, the Arab world, etc.).

“Tree of imagination
Before the Tree of Original Sin, human history did not yet exist. It was with the tree rooted in the earth that human history began. My humanity cannot be separated from this noble conception. I am aware that I belong to a vast iconography scattered throughout ancient manuscripts, the art of miniatures, folk painting, and the pieces of cloth that village women tied around the branches of sacred trees. There, deep in the Sahara, in the city of Ghedames, women perform the baptism of new houses by drawing plant motifs on their walls.
The tree of the imagination is the tree of origins… It is a concept from before language, when living beings spoke with humans and one emerged from the other. A world that I present and do not reproduce in the Deleuzian sense of the term.”

A painter and writer, Amor Ghedamsi has been exhibiting his work since the mid-1990s. His work has been shown in various private galleries in Tunisia and abroad, as well as at the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art. He has also exhibited at the Boushahri Gallery in Kuwait, the Regency Hotel in Doha, The Mojo Gallery in Dubai, and the “Great Painters of the Maghreb” exhibition in L’Haÿ-les-Roses, near Paris.
In addition to his career with galleries, he has participated in several international biennials and symposia, notably in Cairo, Jordan, Tehran, Crete, and Doha, thereby establishing his presence on the international art scene.

Nous avons le plaisir de vous inviter au vernissage de la cinquième édition du Prix des Jeunes Artistes, le jeudi 16 juillet 2026 à partir de 18h.

Depuis cinq ans, TGM Gallery poursuit sa mission de soutien et de découverte des jeunes artistes à travers ce concours. Chaque édition leur offre l'opportunité d'exposer leurs œuvres au sein de la galerie autour d'une thématique proposée lors de l'appel à candidatures, favorisant ainsi le dialogue entre des pratiques, des sensibilités et des univers visuels pluriels.

Dans cette édition, TGM Gallery met en lumière les travaux de dix-neuf artistes émergents. Ils explorent le thème Neverland : Fabrique des imaginaires, où chacun rend tangible le monde idyllique.

Neverland se présente comme une cartographie sensible des réalités imaginées par des artistes issus de différents parcours. À travers ces œuvres réunies dans un même espace, nous découvrons différentes façons d’appréhender le monde par leurs regards. Certains ont choisi d’arpenter l’intime selon une approche personnelle, comme une réflexion sur soi. D’autres naviguent entre des thématiques plus universelles qui parlent à l’humain.

À l'issue de l'exposition, un jury composé de professionnels du monde de l'art, galeristes, artistes, critiques d'art et commissaires d'exposition, distinguera trois lauréats.

Nous serons ravis de vous compter parmi nous pour célébrer cette nouvelle génération de talents. L'exposition se poursuivra jusqu'au 31 juillet.

Join us for a second talk highlighting the current exhibition, “Si la terre se souvient – What earth retains”.

This conversation brings together two featured artists, Amor Ghedamsi and Sahar El Echi to explore the deep narratives behind their work.

The discussion will be moderated by Haithem Haouel.

Haithem Haouel is a freelance, French-speaking journalist specializing in print and web media; he works primarily as a cultural journalist and has collaborated on numerous artistic projects.

Over the past 12 years, he has contributed extensively to the press and communication departments of various public and private Tunisian festivals, while also establishing himself as a cultural programmer.

On an international scale, Haithem covers world-renowned events such as the Avignon, Clermont-Ferrand, and Cannes film festivals, and he additionally serves as a teacher of French as a Foreign Language (FLE).

Sahar El Echi is a visual artist and filmmaker (b. 1992) who lives and works in Tunis. A graduate of the Higher Institute of Fine Arts of Tunis (ISBAT), she has developed a practice at the intersection of photography and moving images.

Through video, photography, sound, and text, she explores the shifting relationships between individuals and the territories they inhabit and move through, while also examining representational dispositifs in their aesthetic and sociopolitical dimensions.

She has directed several independent video essays and films, including Mutation, Entre-deux, Correspondances, and Manwella.

Her latest film, Bord à Bord (AAL HAFA), received the Bronze Tanit at the Carthage Film Festival and was selected for the Red Sea International Film Festival, the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival, and FIFF Namur, among others.

Amor Ghedamsi is a painter and writer, he has been exhibiting his work since the mid-1990s.

Here and Perhaps Elsewhere (series)

This series of photogravures, created from photographs taken in Aïn Draham, is part of a reflection on landscape as a space of memory and transformation. Through these images, I explore the subtle traces that run through inhabited places: human presences, constructions, marks of time, or forms left abandoned.

The landscape here becomes a sensitive territory, situated between appearance and disappearance. Margins occupy a central place in my research, not as peripheral spaces, but as sites where silent forms of narrative emerge.

Indeed, I develop a reflection on the evolution of inhabited territory, referring to the margin as a symbolic space to be elevated, considering what is inscribed there spontaneously or deliberately. From this visual reflection, I conceive of the possible and the imagined in terms of spaces, along with all that they encompass and imply as the memory of a fragile materiality in constant transformation.

It is moreover through a desire to transmit this memory that my technical choice of photogravure became essential, turning the poietic exercise of storytelling into a journey from the visible to the imagined. From the digital image to the copper plate, my capture of reality is thus transformed and reshaped through physical experimentations, exchanging the symbolism of the first impressions for that of a plastic reformulation.

It is a gesture that moves from the visible toward the less visible, a displacement of the image toward a more diffuse, more fragile form, where what appears matters just as much as what disappears.

« During my walks through the parks and forests of Tunis, I am drawn to scenes where the discreet traces of human presence remain: fragments of plastic, glass, paper, or abandoned objects. These compositions, both ordinary and unsettling, reflect a way of life shaped by consumption, accumulation, and the silent impact of waste on the landscape.
Through painting, I seek to freeze these ephemeral places and reveal the human presence they still hold. Each abandoned item becomes a clue to a past presence, an anonymous gesture or narrative. My work thus explores our relationship to consumerism, memory, and the traces we leave behind. »

Hassen Saies is a Tunisian painter. His work emerges from a particular focus on people, places, and ordinary scenes that usually go unnoticed, each of which he approaches as something that deserves to be remembered. After initially working primarily with collage, he has developed a rigorous and sensitive body of work in which the human figure and its environment become a means of exploring what we carry within us, what we overlook, and what we leave behind.
