The “Satyajith Ray Film club” which functioned in the old building of House of Cinema in 80’s restarts its work again in the former Zebunisso Cinema. The initiative to open the film club at that time belonged to the prominent Tajik filmmaker Davlat Khudonazarov. It pursued a goal of popularization of the world cinema heritage. Like before the “Satyajith Ray Film club” now sets the goal to become a

permanent platform for the popularization of the world and Tajik Art films in Dushanbe, as well as to introduce the wide audience to the new works of Tajik filmmakers and give them an opportunity to engage in the discussion with the creators. The free entry screenings of the “Satyajith Ray Film Club” will be conducted every Saturday at 5 pm. in the city’s House of Cinema (former Zebunisso Cinema), S.Aini str., 131.
