Inheritance of the Soil
Triptych Series
Resident artists of MONEE Art Gallery, Sharifov Murod and Payrav Gulov present Inheritance of the Soil — a multidisciplinary triptych exploring the inseparable bond between human identity and cultivated land.
Existing as original paintings, digital editions, and a video installation, the series reflects on agriculture not merely as labor, but as legacy.
Across three compositions, the human figure gradually dissolves into the fruits of cultivation — cheese, wheat, grapes. These elements become symbols of transformation: milk into culture, grain into sustenance, fruit into lineage. The body becomes terrain. The self becomes harvest.
With its earthy chromatic palette and dense material surface, the work speaks of soil as origin — and inheritance.
Installed within the restaurant Terra, the series finds a living context where gastronomy and art converge around one idea:
Culture, like harvest, is inherited.
