🇹🇭🤝🇲🇾🕯️ พลังศรัทธา 2 แผ่นดิน สานสัมพันธ์ไทย–มาเลเซีย ผ่านประเพณีถวายเทียนพรรษา
เมื่อวันอาทิตย์ที่ 9 สิงหาคม 2569 กรมการศาสนา กระทรวงวัฒนธรรม ร่วมกับจังหวัดสตูล จัดโครงการ “พลังศรัทธาถวายเทียนพรรษา 2 แผ่นดิน สานสัมพันธ์ ไทย–มาเลเซีย” เนื่องในเทศกาลเข้าพรรษา ประจำปี 2569 ณ วัดดุลยาราม อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดสตูล ประเทศไทย และ วัดบุญญาราม อำเภอกูบังปาสู รัฐเคดาห์ ประเทศมาเลเซีย
โดยมี นายชัยพล สุขเอี่ยม อธิบดีกรมการศาสนา เป็นประธานในพิธี พร้อมด้วยผู้บริหารกระทรวงวัฒนธรรม ผู้แทนหน่วยงานภาครัฐ คณะสงฆ์ ภาคีเครือข่ายทางศาสนา และพุทธศาสนิกชนทั้งชาวไทยและชาวไทยเชื้อสายสยามในประเทศมาเลเซีย เข้าร่วมกิจกรรม
กิจกรรมเริ่มต้น ณ วัดดุลยาราม จังหวัดสตูล วัดเก่าแก่และศูนย์รวมจิตใจของชาวพุทธในพื้นที่ โดยร่วมสักการะ “หลวงพ่อแก่” หรือ “พระหน้านาง” พระพุทธรูปไม้โบราณอันเป็นที่เคารพศรัทธา ก่อนร่วมพิธีถวายเทียนพรรษา ผ้าอาบน้ำฝน และเครื่องไทยธรรมแด่พระสงฆ์ รวมถึงเยี่ยมชมพระอุโบสถและเส้นทางเสด็จพระราชดำเนินของ พระบาทสมเด็จพระบรมชนกาธิเบศร มหาภูมิพลอดุลยเดชมหาราช บรมนาถบพิตร
จากนั้นคณะได้เดินทางข้ามพรมแดนสู่ วัดบุญญาราม รัฐเคดาห์ ประเทศมาเลเซีย เพื่อร่วมพิธีถวายเทียนพรรษา รับชมการแสดงแลกเปลี่ยนทางวัฒนธรรมอาเซียน และเยี่ยมชมศูนย์การศึกษาพระพุทธศาสนา ภาษาไทย และวัฒนธรรม ซึ่งมีบทบาทสำคัญในการสืบทอดอัตลักษณ์ของชุมชนชาวไทยเชื้อสายสยามในประเทศมาเลเซีย
🕯️ จากแสงเทียนแห่งศรัทธา สู่สายสัมพันธ์แห่งมิตรภาพ
กิจกรรมครั้งนี้สะท้อนให้เห็นถึงความสัมพันธ์อันแน่นแฟ้นของประชาชนบริเวณชายแดน ไทย–มาเลเซีย ที่มีรากฐานร่วมกันทั้งด้านพระพุทธศาสนา ภาษา ศิลปวัฒนธรรม ขนบธรรมเนียม และวิถีชีวิต โดยใช้ “มิติทางศาสนาและวัฒนธรรม” เป็นสะพานเชื่อมผู้คนของทั้งสองประเทศ
นอกจากการสืบสานประเพณีถวายเทียนพรรษาและการอนุรักษ์พระพุทธศาสนาแล้ว ยังเป็นการส่งเสริมการแลกเปลี่ยนเรียนรู้ทางวัฒนธรรม สร้างความเข้าใจอันดี และกระชับความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างประชาชนไทยและมาเลเซียให้แน่นแฟ้นยิ่งขึ้น

On Sunday, 9 August 2026, the Department of Religious Affairs, Ministry of Culture, in cooperation with Satun Province, organized the “Power of Faith Across Two Lands: Strengthening Thai–Malaysian Friendship Through the Buddhist Lent Candle Offering” project to mark the Buddhist Lent Festival 2026.
The event was held at Wat Dulyaram in Mueang Satun District, Satun Province, Thailand, and Wat Boonyaram in Kubang Pasu District, Kedah, Malaysia.
The ceremony was presided over by Mr. Chaipol Suk-iam, Director-General of the Department of Religious Affairs, together with representatives from the Ministry of Culture, government agencies, the Buddhist Sangha, religious and cultural networks, and Thai and Siamese-Thai Buddhist communities in Malaysia.
🕯️ The journey began at Wat Dulyaram in Satun, a historic Buddhist temple and an important spiritual center for the local community. Participants paid respects to “Luang Pho Kae”, also known as “Phra Na Nang,” an ancient wooden Buddha image deeply revered by both Thai and Malaysian Buddhists.
The participants then joined the traditional offering of Buddhist Lent candles, bathing robes, and offerings to monks, before visiting the temple’s ordination hall and the historic route associated with the royal visit of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great in 1979.
The delegation then crossed the border into Kedah, Malaysia, where they continued the Buddhist Lent candle-offering ceremony at Wat Boonyaram. The program also featured cultural exchange performances and a visit to the center for Buddhist studies, Thai language, and Thai culture, which plays an important role in preserving the cultural identity of the Siamese-Thai community in Malaysia.
✨ From the light of faith to the bonds of friendship
This cross-border cultural and religious activity reflects the longstanding connections between communities in Thailand and Malaysia, particularly through Buddhism, language, traditions, culture, and shared ways of life.
Beyond preserving the Buddhist Lent tradition and promoting Buddhism, the event created a meaningful space for cultural exchange, mutual understanding, and people-to-people connections, further strengthening the friendship between the two countries.
