A Solidarity Statement Against the US Imperialist-Israel War of Aggression on Iran

Himigrante-Thailand stands in firm solidarity with all peace-loving peoples of the world in condemning and demanding an immediate end to the US imperialist-Israel war of aggression against the sovereign state of Iran.

This illegal and unprovoked war, launched amidst ongoing negotiations on Iran’s nuclear program, exposes the insatiable greed of US-Israel warmongers. Their ultimate goal is to dominate Iran, plunder its resources, and impose hegemony over West Asia.

Now on its 25th day, the relentless bombardment of Iran and its retaliations have already unleashed bitter economic and political consequences worldwide. In the Philippines, oil prices have skyrocketed by 100%. Inflation worsens, public services falter, transport systems are disrupted, and the masses are driven to protest. Meanwhile, the ill-prepared PBBM government remains paralyzed—hesitant to declare a state of crisis and scrambling to find funds for subsidies.

In this dire situation, HIMIGRANTE reiterates the urgent demands of the Filipino people:

We call for JUST PEACE, not WAR!

Oppose and end the US imperialist-Israel war of aggression against Iran and all sovereign nations.

Scrap the Oil Deregulation Law!

Control oil prices and curb profiteering.

Remove excise tax and VAT on oil.

Defend the livelihood of working people—raise wages now.

Implement cash assistance and fuel subsidies for public transport drivers, farmers, fisherfolk, and other vulnerable sectors.

Himigrante-Thailand joins the global call: End imperialist wars, defend sovereignty, and uphold the rights and dignity of all peoples.

Filipina migrant workers, rise up against imperialism and crisis!

On International Working Women’s Day, we call on Filipina migrant workers to rise up against the crisis in the economy and ruling system. This day of worldwide protests and collective actions marks the continuing struggle of toiling women for land, wages, livelihoods and rights. Migrante International continues to stand in solidarity with working women around the world in the fight for social liberation.

Today, the greatest enemy of working women of the world is US imperialism. The fascist Trump government continues to oppress migrants, subjecting thousands to arbitrary arrests, detentions, deportations and killings. The US is waging wars of aggression in West Asia and other parts of the world, endangering the safety and lives of millions including Filipina migrants. Filipino working women experience systemic poverty, violence and exploitation under US imperialist demands for cheap export labor. America props up the local ruling Marcos regime and its bureaucrats to ensure the forced migration of generations of poor women.

In our motherland, Marcos Jr. continues to serve the interests of US imperialism at the expense of the Filipino people. The corrupt Philippine government carries out US-sponsored austerity measures. Regressive policies like the 12% Value Added Tax, Oil Deregulation Law and Rice Liberalization Law burden millions of working women every day. Our national economy remains stunted in part due to the government’s opening up of natural resources and land to foreign plunder. Toiling Filipinos who cannot find work under these circumstances are turned into milking cows and cheap labor for export through the Philippine Government’s decades-long Labor Export Program. We will continue to seek justice for all the women victims of the Philippine Government’s Labor Export Program–from Flor Contemplacion to Mary Jane Veloso, still denied freedom and justice by the Marcos Jr. regime.

In its bid to continue exploiting millions more working women like Veloso and Contemplacion, the declining US has become insatiable in its lust for wars for economic and political control. It will not stop with Palestine, Venezuela, Iran or Cuba. The US, in collusion with Philippine bureaucrat capitalists, continues to expand military bases in our own country. It is stoking the flames of conflict in the Asia-Pacific region, a war that would turn our motherland into a battleground. We migrant workers must reject this grave attack on our country’s sovereignty and future.

As imperialist violence and crises batter our country and oppress toiling women, we migrant workers must rise up and fight back. We vow to advance the militant movement of Filipina migrant women to fight for a homeland free from foreign domination. As we contribute to the struggle for national liberation, let us also continue standing together with toiling women all over the world for freedom, democracy, peace and justice. Only through our collective struggle against global monopoly capital can we achieve a better future for our families, communities and homelands.

Down with US imperialism!
Long live the toiling and fighting women of the world!

2.Dagdag gastos, panahon at pagod.

!
NA MANGALAMPAG, TUTULAN AT IBASURA ANG EXPEDITE FEE!
